DAZN is going down a dangerous path.

It was for the Canelo fight. The next fight is on the 18th of Jan. Nothing intriguing on that card so I'll wait until the WBSS resumes That makes sense. It does look like they are being crafty with fights to keep people subscribed. AJ - Povetkin in September, Andrade - BJS in October, Usyk - Bellew in November, Canelo - Fielding in December. They have had a lot of cards already though, especially for a platform that has barely been around for 3 months. From now until their next card will be the longest they have gone between fights, and I wouldn't be surprised to see the activity pick up from them. Espeically with Matchroom and GBP having 26 cards between them.

It'll be interesting to see how it plays out lets see where DAZN is in 5 years. Maybe they'll achieve everything they said they will at launch or maybe it will be a complete flop and disaster. We'll seee! My bet is that they’re furious that they gave loud mouth Eddie the keys since HBO pulled out a month later. They clearly want GBP there and to poach off HBO, and instead the guy in charge is a polarizing figure who is putting Americans off from signing him (Charlo has a nice rant about it on social media when some UK fan “called him out” to sign with DAZN. My prediction is that Eddie gets the boot in two years (pretty sure that option is in the contract from what I read) and from now until then it’ll be a GBP/Matchroom split.

And HBO or Showtime didn’t come out and say at launch they were taking over, killing PPV and signing all of the big stars only to get laughed at with nothing but garbage cards. Americans would likely embrace DAZN more if Eddie Hearn’s rich spoiled ass wasn’t the vocal one in charge. He’s just so damn unlikable. I understand brits like him. Were all HBO cards PPV quality? how about Showtime? C'mon now theyve had their fair share of downright *****ty cards. If youre expecting PPV quality cards every single time I dont know what to tell you cause thats not even realistic. If you're a boxing fan 10$ a month is nothing to follow the sport that you love people blow away 10$ DAILY on dumb *****. Why would you subscribe a month before the next card? Surely, it is better value for money to subscribe the day of the card? A lot of us renew our subscriptions yearly. My showtime subscription will likely be rolling over in a week, and I’m very glad I don’t have to do HBO anymore. Hell, I signed up for DAZN for a year based on nothing but the WBSS. Boxing fans will throw their money at boxing. It’s not us that they need to worry about though.

I have the showtime app. They have no fights on the schedule. But I'm watching the Lebron shut up & dribble show. A couple documentaries on there I'm checking out. A good show about the Trump presidency. They got this good music makers show. Tons of stuff for me to watch until that next fight. Worth my $11.99 a month I have the DAZN app. What will I watch from now until the next card a month away? Why would you subscribe a month before the next card? Surely, it is better value for money to subscribe the day of the card?

Their dangerous path starts with the ****ty broadcast team, I mean they pulled mora and sugar ray straight out of PBC's failures. There was also an insane amount of c*ck sucking for Canelo after the fight. The fights, I'm assuming, are going to get more competitive. They're not doing anything different as for matchmaking that any of us aren't used to elsewhere.

Top Rank and Matchroom are home to the cherrypicks Earn with hearn doe, the bobfather doe Try watching a frank warren card if you think matchroom does that!! In all honesty, last 2-3 months matchroom quality has reduced a lot and it probably is not a co-incidence that they have tried to upscale significantly and as a result they are leaving themselves more bare thin on each card, this is more visible in the uk. Having said that Eddie has still put on some real good fights as well and Whyte Chisora should be an absolute ******* next weekend if the first fihht is to go by!!

Seems like they think I’ll keep paying to watch their ****ty mismatches because it’s cheap. So far the Miller card was all mismatches, the Canelo card was all mismatches, and this Andrade card is about to be a huge mismatch as well. AJ will probably fight Whyte or Miller in 2019 which will be another huge mismatch on..... DAZN. The future of cherrypicking. Nice sig.:boxing:

The main issue is that the best fights to be made are PBC vs Top Rank or Matchroom vs PBC etc.. However a lot of the fights are in house fights or they are house fighter vs over matched non house fighter. This is true for PBC, Top Rank and Matchroom cards.

Also Roman vs Vargas is eventual

There will always be down periods in boxing, peaks and valleys. But even still with those swings $9.99 a month really is NOT that much c'mon now guys, people spend that almost DAILY on *****ing starbucks or a pack of cigarettes.

DAZN is not only about boxing, doe. Much like Showtime, HBO, ESPN, Fox, etc. Soccer is huge all over the world, except 'merika. They're doing fine over all, don't worry. Except the fact they don't have rights to any big soccer league. They got MLB rights to some show which should be good, but not really a game changer. Right now they don't have the other content to sports leagues like the NFL or NBA. So they are relying heavily on boxing to set it off and help them gain their subscriber base. They don't have 24/7 content unlike a SHO or HBO. Jacobs vs Canelo would be great and all but assure them GGG as well. They desperately need this to happen.

If that's going down then I'm on board. Give me at LEAST one interesting fight every 2-3 months and I'll suck DAZN dry. I think it happens. Jacobs has no real reason to still be with Hearn but they were both in the ring together last night. I think Hooker vs Linares is planned.
