I expected Lampley to be emotional but I wasn't expecting Roy Jones' sign off. As my all time fav fighter, he had me emotional. HBO has been a big part of my life since the 80's.
If you saw it, how were you feeling during the last call on HBO?
It was indeed an end of a very special era in boxing history.
State your opinion and discuss. Thanks.

Agreed. It was beautiful. Sadly haters in this forum would just call it was BS or gay
Those storylines can inspire you
I don't get it.......as boxing fans, why dog a platform that shows the sport we love? Especially one with the rich history of HBO? I think it's funny how a lot of this disrespect started when Floyd left for SHO lol
I quit HBO! I feel over 25 years plus, I figure I spent about 4500-5000 thousand on their service!
But I'm a boxing fan and when the product diminished, I had to cut my ties.
Not a Canelo or GGG fan I take it?
A terrible shame they left the sport, so many iconic fights and moments throughout history, they certainly knew how to tell a story and humanise fighters in a sport that has long been considered barbaric

I was crying like a mf. I went to the bathroom and curled up no joke and cried in the corner for a good 15 minutes, something I hadnt done since I was a teen. It was emotional.
:rfl::rfl::rfl::rfl: I sharted reading that.
It is crazy as hell for real that HBO is out of the boxing business, they WERE boxing for so many years man
it was always HBO boxing, growing up in high school and junior high I couldnt wait to watch the fights on HBO on Saturday night
I even remember KO Nation on HBO.

Showtime been on the scene sice the 80's.
Hagler.Mugabi
McClellan.Benn
Corrales.Castillo
Vázquez.Márquez
Tyson vs
Ruddock II
McNeely
Bruno
Holyfield
Holyfield II
Lewis
Were all on Showtime. They've also been hot since 2011 with Pacquiao.Mosely and a bunch of others.
And? I can't list how many epic fights and fighters from HBO. Showtime was HBO's red headed step child for over 3 decades. What's there to talk about?

Watching the montage brought back alot of memories of great fights that maybe I haven't watched in ages. Some truly great nights spent in front of the tv. HBO production was the best by far and Lamps, Larry, and Steward were fantastic. I'll miss it but they went downhill fast the last couple of years and it was time to move on I guess. Maybe someday they'll come back.
No doubt. That montage was incredible. I thought it was over like 3 or 4 times and it kept going and going. I loved it.
Lampley is a little emo b1tch I will miss HBO boxing though
Who is a better boxing play caller that Lampley thought? And Lampley gets emotional over fighters. It's refreshing when people really care about the fighters in this sport and show it.
HBO had the best score soundtracks without a doubt. They really captured every emotion of the fighters and had the best narrative. Showtime and Dan must step their game up when it comes to score soundtracks.
