if Fury pressed the issue and threw the over hand right again and again and again that he might’ve either put Wilder down or stopped him.
He landed it and then stopped throwing it for some reason.
As a fan you root for your guy, but the instance you see what the other guy can do...you start to see flaws.
Wilder was open for the right hand. He’s still open for the right hand. This was the best I saw Fury throw the right hand, and Wilder felt it. Fury threw it again and then he just stopped.
Wilder was tkod in the AMs by a guy who threw the right hand and kept throwing it. I think that he’s still open for it.
Wilder sets traps by inviting the straight right, and maybe because of his length......nobody has been able to reach him.
Fury reached him. He just didn’t throw it enough.

You don't have to listen but that don't make not so. Fury paced himself well and fought in a relaxed style but that is not the same as being in top shape. Fury had titts bigger than the ring girls for pity's sake.Fury has always had a ****ed up looking body. Doesn’t mean that he isn’t in shape. I know Fury was in tremendous shape. He fought someone who is always in tremendous shape. It was a hard fight where paid attention to detail was from round 1-12...
Fury smothered/leaned on Wilder a couple of times after landing shots, and I think that played a part in Wilder fatiguing so bad. Since Wilder needs a lot of room to punch, Fury is completely safe on the inside. If Fury walks him down while keeping his defense tight more in the rematch, Deontay will fade even faster.
Fury at times stayed inside, but his superb head movement and faints and Wilders head bunting and missing was the main reason why he almost gassed. Jmo
So if you picked Fury by KO then why were you saying Wilder cherrypicked an easy fight?
Covering all bases.
Well, I can't speak for drama but I had the same opinion on this fight too. And I don't think it's covering all bases like you say at all. Not when it comes to this particular fight.
I picked Fury by late KO because I knew that Fury is one of those fighters who get motivated accordingly to their opponent's level.
I'm dead serious, when I saw Fury at the weigh in and saw that he came in in pretty much the same weight as he did vs Pianeta, I was confident he'd win it. One thing his body was craving for after years of yoyo dieting is stability.
But team Wilder didn't know that and that's one of many amateurish things that 'team' has done. They thought it was a cherry pick because they assumed Fury is like 99% fighters out there who are only as good as their last fight. He isn't because Fury isn't like other fighters. It took me years of hating and doubting him to realize that, but it's the truth. Fury is special.
The punch Wilder knocked him down in the 12th , Fury didnt even see it coming . If Wilder can figure out how he did that the rematch could be a short fight .

The rematch is a fight where I don’t know who will win. Wilder may come in heavier. He may come forward more. Fury might jab a lot more and throw more punches.
It hit me that Ward would stop Kov in the rematch. It hit me that Martinez would ko Williams in the rematch and that Williams would ko Quintana etc etc.
With this possible rematch there are too many scenarios for me to pick a winner. It hasn’t hit me yet.
If what Wilder claims is true, that he broke his arm 12 weeks before the fight, it would explain his hesitance of throwing punches, and lack of accuracy from not being able to spar. Fury can hit hard enough to KO Wilder.
Sure but Wilder isn't as clueless as he's sometimes made out to be. He is very basic but he's not helpless. If Fury started to give him opportunities he'd have taken one or two of them and Fury clearly didn't want to know about it.
Guys, stop saying that Fury wasn’t in shape or that he could’ve been in beret shape. He was in great shape for the fight.

AJ has a fast accurate arrow straight and very hard right hand and he times it well. Look how many decent fighters have been KOed by AJ's left jab straight right combo. Sure Wilder could take AJ out with his mighty straight right but it works both ways.
I don’t think that AJ has that kind of right hand against a moving target. Sitting target maybe but not a moving target.
yeah i think wilder was there to be stopped but he was too wary of his power. i predicted fury to knock him out in fact so he did worse than i expected
When did you predict that?
Show me the post.
Fury had a lot of great monents when he was backing Wilder up and throwing fast combos. Wilder isn't really a counter puncher by nature and it's hard to counter a guy as rangy as Fury. Fury got hurt when he stayed there too long waiting for Wilder and his reflexes weren't fast enough for that moment.
I think if Fury stays focused and doesn't dwindle down again he can make the rematch a lot easier, he's gonna be in an even better shape, he's gonna be more confident in his skillls and stamina and he's gonna take it to Wilder a little more, if Fury would've had an experienced trainer he would've told him to utilize the last 30 second strategy like Ray Leonard and Holyfield, would've been able to win all rounds that way.
Yeah, I think it is really on Wilder to do something different. Fury, using what he learned in the first fight and in better shape might make this look as easy as he made his second fight with Chisora.
