I have Holyfield edging a barn burner by TKO in the 11th, after a thriller in which we see Wilder taking the fight right to Holyfield from the opening bell, only to see Holyfield outbox and frustrate Wilder in the early rounds, only to see the chess match open into an all out war.
Holyfield could fight hard for 12 rounds. His work rate and stamina was stellar. He was technically very good and he had an excellent chin. There's always a chance that Wilder could connect with some big shots to slow down Holyfield or to maybe stop him, but Evander was such a strong and relentless fighter that I'd definitely put my money on him grinding down and stopping Wilder or beating him unanimously....and I have little doubt that Holyfield would get on the inside and make it a bruising and viscous battle , unlike these modern slower tempo fighters.
I agree, and I think it would he an amazing fight. Neither would back down. Both China would be tested.

I have Holy killing Milder in the first 29 seconds.
Holyfield Mentally and Physically waears this dude down. Wilder isnt tough enough physically to keep Holyfield off him. He has to have space to throw punches and Holyfield is faster, throws better combinations and has a better chin .
I agree, Holyfield has the fundamentals and the heart. Wilder would have to make it a war to have a chance.
Holyfield by wide decision.
Wilder could KO anyone if he lands, but it's gonna take more than one or two shots to take out Holyfield. Power isn't everything.
holyfield was inconsistent with his performances. an atg, for sure. but he had his share of off nights all along the way. he was never a dominant fighter. because he took on everybody when they were pretty much at their peek. he would have a tough time with wilder because evander did get hurt a bunch of times, and wilder is a fierce finisher. but that is a close one. i vote draw.
Evander Holyfield via 12 round decision.
Wilder will be taking too much punishment, Holyfield would be just too fast and accurate 'He could fight at a intensity/pace that is alien to Deontay Wilder 'Wilder vs Fury' was quite a slow paced fight, but even still both fighters looked as if they where fighting under water at times.
But it would be a entertaining fight, because I don't see any quit in Deontay Wilder.

- -Been Slurple the Purple again ?
Do you think Wilder could hurt Holyfield?
Yes, definitely. But he's got to land on the man, probably several clean times, without getting hurt himself.
I got Holyfield by stoppage.
Lol of all the old heavyweights from the 90s Wilder matches up with holyfield the best, truth is holyfield was at his best at cruiserweight, heavyweights holyfield relied more on headbutts and trying to ruff up his opponent like Shawn Porter does, but he couldn't really do it on the bigger heavyweights like Lewis and bowe, and he didn't move his head that much,I could definitely see Wilder knocking him down multiple times,or holyfield out willing Wilder, it'd be a close fight
Slightly difficult one, this... Holyfield, a small heavyweight, always struggled more, naturally, against the bigger men, and Wilder CAN punch.
On the opposite side of the coin, Wilder is absolutely fucking awful.
There is a story of one night Holyfield didn't have a struggle with acomodating a bigger, thicker man...according to Haye, after a few pints, one cold November night...
