Tyson Fury said on Monday WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder will try to avoid a rematch with him "at all costs" after their epic draw in Los Angeles. Wilder retained his belt on Saturday after a thrilling 12-round battle ended in a split decision draw at the Staples Center. The result means the American is still in a position to achieve his dream of unifying the heavyweight division against Fury's fellow Briton Anthony Joshua, who holds the WBA, IBF and WBO versions of the title. Wilder and Fury would BOTH beat Joshua
Fury is a much better fighter than AJ..... and if Wilder can drop Fury TWICE, then he can drop Joshua 3x
I think that if Wilder drops Joshua hard, he will stop him
Wilder said their rematch is next.
Then probably the 3rd one. Three in a row between fighters I believe has happened before.
AJ appears to have the worst chin of the 3.
And you are a fokking Wilder fanboy. Other than the two rounds Wilder knocked him down Wilder was SHUT OUT. #fuc kingcasuals
Wilder has only fought 2 half decent fighters and he has dodged bullets against both of them.
You can also make the point that because this was close does not make them both great, two mediocre fighters matched against each other will also produce a close fight.
Joshua beats both of these guys, on the same night.
Happy Holidays my friend from across the pound. Let's see who AJ fights next.
I doubt it'll be Wilder, cos DW wants none of it.
But please please please make it happen.
correct. particularly that last shot.
Wilder's punch travelled with Fury's dip and hit him square. he learned Fury's movements by then.
He's more clever than most people give him credit for.
Or he actually is a very limited boxer who connected with only one full flush right in 12 rounds
chill Fury, the rematch will happen
in less than two days, Wilder's team will realize that Fast Eddie is FULL-OF-SHlT..... leaving your team free to negotiate with Wilder
AJ will bodybag & bully this skinny ass nigg@ with zero skills if he decides to come to UK. Wilder won't fight either of them in UK.
AJ turned down 50 million Wilder was ready to travel to London,, and I guarantee you he will be there for his next fight with either AJ or Fury
Sorry Fury, Wilder has already ran per an article I read today. His manager is meeting Joshua’s people to discuss Joshua/Wilder in April 2019. I don’t blame Wilder. He has to get as much money while he can. Losing in a rematch with Fury closes the door for good to make a lot of money against Joshua. Wilder can’t beat Fury and he knows it now. And I wanted Wilder to win too.
How can you be unbiased with that score? Let me ask you a question; what is it about your scoring that we need to feel is legit? Have you been a pro judge?I'm simply not a fanboy! I like both Wilder & Fury. I just wanted to see a good fight & that is what we got. I had it 7-5 Fury. My favourite fighters are retired. Botha, Lewis, Golota, Toney & Pajkic. I'm not a bandwagon jumper nor am I a flavour of the month fan. I'm sorry I didn't think Fury won every round like some here. If you look at all the journalists & writers who scored the fight you will see some had Fury winning, some had Wilder winning & some had it a draw. This was by far no schooling by Fury. It was a close fight & he would have won if he didn't get dropped twice. It is as simple as that. For the record if I had to choose a favourite of the two I would go with Fury. I'd love to see a rematch as both will be better prepared. :beerchug:

I don't really have a favourite of the 2 fighters (Well like Fury a little better). I just scored it how I saw it.
This is unusual confidence for a man who was flat on his back in the 12th just two days ago.
Fury dodged a bullet. He looked very good, I will admit, but theres still the chance he can get starched at any given moment.
He'll have to walk the razors edge all night, again, to beat Wilder.

I am one of the most unbiased posters on this site. After watching this fight I scored it 113-113. 7 rounds to 5 for Fury but the difference was the 2 knock downs. I gave Fury rounds 1,3,6,7,8,10 & 11. I gave Wilder rounds 2,4,5, 9 & 10. The 5th round was the one round Fury gave away as he threw very little & landed only few punches. Wilder may have missed a lot in that round but he was busier & landed a few shots. That was a very close round & hard to score but I gave it to Wilder for his activity level. As for the controversy on the KDs. Both KDs Reiss did the same thing. He gave him the count & asked Tyson to walk away & back. Some people were saying that he gave Fury extra time to recover. Well I timed it. Fury was up at 9 & by the time he called them to fight it was 21.11 seconds from the time he hit the canvas. Reiss may have allowed Fury a couple extra seconds but that was it. Kudos to Reiss for not calling off the fight when Tyson was laying on his back. Good fight but Wilder's eraser right hand made the difference again. Both KDs were started by the right & followed with a left. 113-113 on my card...Let's do it again!

Noone wants to see Ortiz after another underwhelming performance. Got given another chance to impress and messed it up again. If Breazeale looks good in his December audition he'll be getting the nod for Wilders next fight.
I agree. Wilder will go back to fighting second rate guys again. He’s fought two decent guys and has escaped by the skin of his teeth both times.
