Wilder should have won by KO after he hit Fury wit dat Falcon Punch in the 12th. That count was at least 17 seconds. Fight should have never even gone to the judges.

idk what is wrong with people...
imo i had the fight 113-113
I gave wilder 5 rounds including the kds... fury won the rest
and fury beat that count idk wtf is wrong with people
I’ve reviewed the footage and the ref gave Tyson about 6 days to beat the count.
But as others have said that shot kept Wilder in the big time. So credit to him. He’d have been fast forgotten without it but he showed incredible resolve to pull that one out.
Great suspense in a Wilder fight. He’s a small dude which gets overlooked.
Still want to see the AJ fight more because it’s gonna be a heavyweight Hagler/Hearns and someone is getting sent Mars in under 10 minutes.
Fury beats both if he remains interested and goes a year without having to lose 2/3rd of a Deontay Wilder in weight, doing all the cocaine, drinking like a fish, and contemplating suicide.
He’s just better than the other two. He’s been doing it longer.
I thought Wilder would take him out because you don’t pick a horse/team/fighter with zero form. But Fury’s different I suppose.
I seriously believed that too. I thought the referee was taking his time with that ten count because he wanted Fury to win.
If one wants to say that three judges were corrupt then the very same could be said of the referee. He was not in synch with the time keeper. He behaved if he had a horse in this race.
That was the slowest ten count I've ever seen in my life. However, Tyson did beat the count it was just slow as molasses though.
Embarrassing that Wilder fans are trying to clutch straws. Your boy got beaten & schooled. Deal with it. He can come back, but he'll never be the best as long as Fury is around.
As far as extra time for the count, it didn't look to me like Fury got extra time. Although he was walking on thin ice by laying flat like that like Groves did. If this was in the UK he would've probably been stopped right there at the count of 6 for laying flat on his back like if he's out cold. Groves did the same thing and got up the same way vs Froch but the ref stopped it anyway. Looked like Fury was getting a breather and kinda snapped back to reality and realized he had to get up or automatically get waved off as a TKO. He's lucky this was in the US with a good ref, or else one of those pssy ass refs from UK in UK soil would've stopped the fight prematurely.
Ain't just a UK thing, man. Jacobs vs Pirog was waved off after about 6 and Danny sat up immediately and started protesting. It was a beautiful set up and punch, but Danny should still have got the benefit of a full count.

A good fighter would have finished the job. But Wilder isnt a good fighter. He was even buzzed in the latter part of the round.
He's 40-0 with 39 KO's and 1 Draw with opponents that include world class fighters whether you like it or not. I'd say he's a pretty good fighter. He was also fighting an elite HW.
Many fighters in history fought elite opponents who they hurt but couldn't finish. It doesn't mean they weren't good fighters.
I assume OP is talking about how once Fury got up, the ref took a moment to assess if he was able to continue.
I can't recall with 100% certainty, but I believe asking the fighter to walk in a particular direction is a NY athletic commission thing
EDIT: Oh wait he means the literal count. I doubt it was much slower than a typical count. If anything, the ref seemed to feel a bit like the count was going to be a formality and wanted to get it over with. After he got up, the ref seemed initially hesitant to let him continue.
Refs are not supposed to give fighters time to compose themselves. Lol that's not ok.
They're meant to be given 10 secs unless it's plain as day to them.
I've seen many a fight where the ref made the call too early and the boxer is ready to continue. Sometimes they're just fooling themselves yes, but other times it's a joke.

Hey now, facts do not count. These are not to be relied upon.
I dunno what you were watching. Not only was it a slow fount but the red delayed counting and he even checked on Fury like he was gonna wave it off instead of counting.
Who was flaunting red to whom again?
I replayed it several times on the DAZN recording. Exactly 10 seconds from the moment Fury hits the canvas to the moment he was standing upright in front of the ref.

It definitely could have been called off there and I was surprised it wasn't. But, I'm also kinda glad it wasn't because Fury recovered quickly and was able to keep fighting. People bytching about robbery should be fair and talk about the long count too, but they won't.
This I agree with. I'm glad Fury got his chance. He put on a hell of a performance.
