Is Wilder still a contender for GOAT or is he a bum?

Why can't Wilder fall right in the middle like 99% of other world titlists?

In terms of his pure power Wilder has to be given GOAT consideration. Always interesting to hear about people's opinion on this subject.

He probably would KO those guys. Even Fury said he was the most vicious puncher in HW history and that's probably true. I think people slagging Wilder for having a draw with Fury are absolute morons. Fury is 6'9", 85" reach and hugely skilled. Fury could be a top 5 historical HW when it's all said and done. yup...people just want to bag on wilder because theyve had a raging half chub about hating on him for years now.....we all knew he isnt skilled...but he doesnt quit and he can hit some people cant get over the fact that wilder isnt a traditional boxer or a technical one.....and just enjoy him for what he is

After he beat the supposedly legendary Luis Ortiz this place was full of people saying he'd KO every heavyweight in history and was better than Lewis, Louis, Holmes etc; I remember being laughed at because I suggested Holmes may have had more skill. I have him behind Povetkin but above the others. he def proved he has "more skil than lomachenko" though...so those people were totally right

Great thread OP. I still remember when certain bum lickers were saying he'd starch a prime 1988 Tyson lol That said I do think Wilder is the GOAT but Fury is second and AJ third. I was laughed at for suggesting Holmes had better skill. His amazing achievement in beating a god in Stiverne and a top 5 all-time in Ortiz had seemingly propelled him to #1 or 2 all-time but then last night he got his **** pushed in by a drug addict who’d lost 150 plus pounds and had three years off. I mean I was told he had more skill than Lomachenko but he looked clueless last night against a guy still shaking off rust. Is it fair to say he was overrated and he’s indeed a terrible fighter? I think it’s clear now people fell for the hype. Who in the hell called him the GOAT? He's an elite HW of this era. Fury is probably the best HW of this era and Wilder came within a hair's breath of stopping him. How anyone can call him a "bum" based on Sat night is just truly ignorant..

IMO he's not the goat. Fury is better.
