How are people saying Fury won the first 2 rounds? I didn’t even have them close especially round 2 after rewatching them. Most of the shots Fury threw Wilder was blocking in round 2 while Wilder lander more & better punches.
118-111 to tyson fury
I gave Deontay 2 x 10-9 rounds and round 1 a draw
Fury dominated every single round apart from round 1 including the knockdown rounds where he won 95% of the round.
Last time I checked if you are winning a round get knocked down then get up and continue to dominate the round that 10-8 round then becomes a 10-9 round.
The same.
I always knew the Batty Windmiller was technically horrible (just by virtue of using my eyes) but nice to see it so clearly exposed here.
Even the rounds that Wilder won (the rounds he knocked down Fury), Fury got up and continued to dominate. Especially the 12th. I'm not making the case that Fury should've still won those rounds, but THAT's how dominant he was.

I'm legitimately puzzled at anyone who had the fight remotely close.
Fury controlled everything. Even the knockdowns were a result of himself allowing to get caught rather than Wilder achieving something through his own efforts.
Fury won clearly, be it two/three points or five/six, he just won.
PS I was so pissed off when they announced the draw, that feeling even defeated the satisfaction of having bet on the draw, nice money with little investment.
Exactly, Fury did his part to ensure the rematch was secured. :boxing:
The fight was a disgrace, Wilder looked pathetic and Fury did his part to ensure the rematch was secured. People think Fury got laid out with the most devastating punch in boxing history yet got up to smack Wilder around the ring for the remainder of the twelfth? Yeah, sure thing...sign me up, lol. This was a conjob, a pathetic one at that.
Draw. I had Wilder winning 2 rounds in the first 3rd of the fight & one other that wasn’t a KO round. The vast majority of the rounds Fury won though he dominated while outside of the 2 KO rounds Wilder won the rounds he won close in my opinion. I don’t get why people are saying the draw was a robbery. I would have been fine with a Fury win too since he won more rounds overall.
The draw was ridiculous. I went in expecting Deontay to get the KO, but saw Fury clown and outland Wilder nearly every round. Then Fury gets up off of a murderous right hand, hook combo just to get robbed by the judges. SMH
I gave Wilder the two knockdown rounds, but didn't see the 2nd round, so he maybe had 3 rounds.
This crap goes on too much in high level championship matchups. I haven't watched a ton of boxing lately (been mainly watching MMA), but the ridiculous scorecards I've seen lately include:
- GGG forced to take a draw in the first fight with Canelo
- Kovalev "losing" to Ward in the first fight
- Fury forced to take a draw with Wilder
