This guy is not the master boxer that his fans make him out to be. He's just a fluke, one hit wonder like Leon Spinks or Buster Douglas. I'll be glad to see him gone and I just hope there aren't any excuses after he gets KO'd.
This fight isnt a fight among two of the best ever. It's just a fight between Fury, a solid HW boxer and Wilder, a brawler and scrappy fighter with great KO power. There is no myth to either of these men if you know anything about them or the sport.
This is true. The thread title might be more accurate if it had hype instead of myth.

Fury is not that good!! Wilder will prove that tonight. And I wouldn't describe Wilder as a brawler, he's just a really athletic dude with a great punch. Brawlers usually like to fight up close and Wilder is better at a distance.

I'm not sure anyone truly knows the ultimate level of either fighter, this is the first time in a long time where my friends keep asking me my pick and I'm truly stumped.
From the outside it looks like Wilder, but both guys have been so hot and cold throughout their careers that I just don't know. I don't even know what the pattern of the fight looks like with any kind of certainty. I think between the two of them Fury's performances in Chisora 2, and Hammer are the most complete from either fighter. The Klitschko win is the best win, but Wilder shows flashes of brilliance. Is he like a modern day Marciano? He could be that guy that more or less always finds the punch, even if he blows hot and cold and drops rounds. Fury himself is quite inconsistent, but maybe not as much as Wilder.
And then is Fury even Fury anymore...far too many unknowns in this fight.
