JAY DEAS was once a TV crime reporter chasing stories like a murderous mayor who ran off with his step-daughter. But for the past 13 years he has been the man behind Deontay Wilder rather than the man behind the camera. Deas has taken the American from a 21-year-old boxing novice Olympic medallist and WBC heavyweight champion, who defends his belt against Tyson Fury in LA on Saturday. Click Here To Read More]
Wlad has been KO'd 2 or 3 times by guys less than Wilder in the pros. Lets take things into perspective here. Is Fury being dropped by a small guy worse than Wilder getting hurt by a big better skilled guy like Ortiz?
If you are chinny in the pros at heavyweight, you would have got KO'd by one of the 40 big hitters, and they all can throw. Does Wilder have good defense, a good chin, or enough heart to withstand the big shots? Sooner than later you have to give Wilder credit somewhere.
Indeed. I'm just saying that Haye saying he isn't sure if Fury has that kind of punch resistance is mostly a guess i think. Anyone can be dropped but Fury doesn't seem to be chinny. He either gets back up or never really seems hurt.
I think both take a decent shot actually. I think both can hurt each other too. People talk like Fury hits like Malignaggi. If you fall into a well timed shot off Fury, it's going to have an effect i think. And on the flipside, Wilder doesn't just clean people out with the first shot he lands. He can, but fighters have taken shots from him and didn't go down on the first one.
People are just too extreme with the way they speak i think. Just because you can get wobbled or dropped, it doesn't mean you are chinny. Just because you have power doesn't mean you can clean everyone out with a shot. Just because you aren't a knockout artist doesn't mean you have no power at all.
All fights are different really. We have seen fighters take shots off big punchers, yet get stopped by much lesser punchers. Anything can happen on the night.
Not saying Haye is wrong, he obviously has more knowledge than me on it but Wilder was out on queer street by Ortiz and was knocked out in the amateurs. If you are chinny in the amateurs, it doesn't really improve much.
Fury has been dropped but never looked hurt. Just got back up, steady legs etc..
Maybe Haye is right, but the evidence would suggest that Wilder has been hurt more than Fury. Fury even took a flush right from Wlad and it didn't do anything.

Interesting take from David Haye on Fury vs Wilder:
Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury will meet at the Staples Center
Now, Wilder is set for his own December 1 bout against Fury and, following their time together, the Hayemaker believes he will emerge victorious.
“I’ve sparred with Deontay Wilder many times,” Haye told Jim White on talkSPORT, “He’s got a very, very, very, hard right hand and it’s an equaliser.
“No matter what Tyson Fury does, as long as Deontay Wilder is able to stay on his feet, he has a chance of ending the fight with one punch. I don’t believe that the other way around.
“I’ve hit Deontay Wilder on the chin with shots that would have knocked out most heavyweights and he’s been able to stay on his feet.
“He may get buzzed, but he’s still on his feet and he was firing back. I don’t believe Tyson Fury has that type of resistance.”
When he got buzzed by Ortiz he didn’t fire back for 45 seconds until the bell saved him. That is the only promising thing I can take away from the fight as an AJ fan. He took care of business afterwards to be fair to him

We want Wilder , we don’t want Wilder’s remains. Do you mean to tell me you are not convinced AJ wants the fight?
Wilder/Fury/Ortiz the obvious choices.
AJ dont want any of them, he definitely dont want wilder.
He could literally fight anyone in the world he has the money and the belts to make any fight happen. Ortiz is the most obvious of he wants a good challenge. Contracts get broken all the time, just look at how dildo whyte ducked pulev after losing purse bid.

Who else can he fight?? You won’t let AJ fight Fury because you have activated the rematch clause. You should focus your 26 brain cells on Wilder avenging his defeat not worrying about who AJ is fighting next

Is that when AJ fights dildo whyte?
The same chubby sloppy bum he already beat easily 2 years ago.

Ortiz is not fat, and definitely not fatter than Dildo Whyte.
After Sunday Wilder will have fought the top 2 guys in the division, both are guys that AJ is actively hiding from. and Wilder would also of fought AJ already if AJ/Eddie wanted that fight.
AJ fighting OLD midgets, and struggling.
The ab guard hides a 1000 secrets my friend...Ortiz isn't obese but he does have a belly and back fat like good bacon.
The rest of your post is subjective and your not presenting it as fact so I can respect your opinion.
I'm not sure who the old midgets are, are you referring to Povetkin?, he's about the same age as Ortiz and only an inch shorter...one inch shorter than Arreola, same hight as Stivern...an inch might be a big deal to you and yours little fella :haha: but realistically it's minimal.
Maybe, if Wilder keeps on being unrealistic when it comes to his commercial and professional worth.
Whyte is in better condition aesthetically than Ortiz, Stiverne, Arreola and Fury, so come Sunday morning...four of the last 5 guys Wilder has faced will have been Chubby...fat even. It's like Wilders management are picking fat guys that are one paced and are going to tire late on in fights for some reason.

Fury is unfit and rusted. If he takes Wilder to 8 I will just turn off my set and go to bed. Wilder should put him to sleep at most in 4
Fanboys like you sound desperate to discredit wilder achievements.
I guess you don't want any extra pressure put on aj to fight wilder. Got to protect the paper champ AJ
How lovely, but that story ends badly on April 13th 2019
