Especially now that Joshua fights exclusively on DAZN & Wilder on Showtime! How will that work out since Showtime will want to do a PPV especially if the fight is in America and DAZN is a streaming app with no PPV system.
The only way this fight happens if is Wilder fights Joshua in the UK on Sky Sports PPV & show the fight on DAZN in America leaving out Showtime out of the business which I don’t see that happening. Especially now that PBC has a exclusive deal with Showtime!
tbose dudes bring no money. mosley, cotto, marquez were getting floyd and pac 1 million plus ppvs
Dude, Joshua could fight the bagger at the grocery store and it would bring lots of money.
Sure, Wilder would be his biggest, most profitable fight, but it would also be his biggest risk. Why fight wilder and make $50 million when he could fight a couple of other guys and make $25 mil each. It's the same money and in his mind less risk. The Wilder fight will still be there later and the money will still be there, why take that fight now, risk losing, and lose out on these easier fights that would be profitable in the lead up to a Wilder fight?
Yeah, Wilder wants the fight ASAP because nobody knows him in the U.S., AJ has all the other belts, he's got a questionable resume, he's not making as much as he could if he were unified champ etc.. But AJ's already got the fame, the glory, the money, and a great resume, and most of the belts, he has way less motivation so the ball is in his court.
It definitely will happen, but most likely at the end of next year. I think Dillian Whyte will get the next shot, and if AJ wins (I think Whyte gets the win) then he'll have to pick Miller or Wilder. He ain't fighting Miller.
I would not be so sure of that.. They've got Breazeles, Millers, Whyte's, Usyks, Joyces, Chisoras etc.

Wow, you are so boring. Still pushing the same stuff over and over and over.
The truth is the truth. If the truth bores you, that is your problem.
I'm still waiting for your response as to why it's impossible for AJ to have earned over $30m...whenever you get proven wrong, you disappear.
I explained thoroughly why it's impossible. UK PPV doesn't cost enough for a fighter to be able to make over 30 million.
Am sure the fight will somehow happen but obviously not 2019. AJ fights twice a year, will likely fight whyte if he win against Del Boy then pulev as mandatory.
2020 could unify with big baby by then should have been WBA regular champ and uysk for the summer.
Wilder fight might happen anytime from 2021 provide both keeps winning.
If you want the AJ fight, buy the Wilder vs. Fury PPV.
Show Eddie that AJ vs. Wilder is on the Mayweather level.
The more money it can bring in, the more likely it is to become a reality.
Your funny!
If Hearn and AJ were confident they would win the fight would have happened already. Personally I don't care if it ever does, because Wilder made them run and hide. No respect for AJ/Hearn.
I think this is why Team Wilder delayed signing the contract. Especially if the deal they signed with Fox. They had to have the HW champion on their rooster. Instead of sending him to England in a fight he isn't guaranteed to win. They never took any risk in Wilder's career and they were willing to do so at that point with the WBC belt. Without the belt it would be even harder to profile Wilder.
these guys cant wait 3 years.
they are not mayweather or pacquiao. they have no cottos, marquez, mosley, Bradley, canelo, maidana, margarito to fight in the meantime. its just 2 men standing. wilder and aj

I agree and I second that notion. It's just not possible at this point. It's because, in my heart of hearts, I really don't believe that Joshua and Matchroom Boxing really wants to fight Deontay Wilder at the moment or at all; If they did they would have fought him by now.
It's been two years now and the two sides are no closer of getting a fair deal done now than they were even several months ago. It's just too much ego and mistrust involved between the two camps.
I believe that it would be best if two of them will just go their separate ways, stay on each side of the pond and don't even think about fighting one another.
Let Wilder continue to fight the guys that wants to fight him like Fury, Breazeale, Ortiz and perhaps even Joe Joyce and let Joshua continue defend his mandatory challengers against Whyte, Pulev, Miller and perhaps even Usyk.
Especially now that Joshua fights exclusively on DAZN & Wilder on Showtime!
That's why Wilder was so desperate to make the fight happen THIS YEAR, before the new PBC TV deals kicked in and he'd be more easily able to go do a one off on DAZN.
Hearn just didn't want the fight. With good reason. When you have the big cash cow, there's no reason to rush into the most dangerous fight. Would have been malpractice on Hearn's part to do the fight this year when Joshua can make so much money fighting safer opponents.
If the roles were reversed, and Wilder generated what AJ generates, and vice versa, Haymon would have done exactly what Hearn did and found an excuse to stall the fight.
It's bound to happen eventually, just like the Pacquiao/Mayweather fight. I'm not saying it's going to take as long, but both fighters and both teams know that fight is out there waiting for them and it's worth a boatload of money. Why rush it? Joshua can keep fighting mandatories and pretty-good-but-not-amazing British heavyweights and Wilder can fight U.S. guys or whoever is willing to get in the ring with him, knocking them out in sensational fashion and raising his profile.
There's no urgency. The only pressure is that the fans want it, but those guys know the fans will still want it two or three years from now so why rush into it?
It sucks.

Good fight but not PPV worthily!
