Tony Bellew was knocked out in the eighth round as his brave bid to overcome undisputed cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk ended in heartbreak at a raucous Manchester Arena. In his final professional bout, Bellew was attempting to become the first Briton to hold all four major world titles plus the prestigious Ring Magazine belt in a weight class simultaneously. I would love to see that fight. Big props to him if he fights Ortiz, but if Hearn has anything to do with it, that fight won't happen.
Nah, Usyk isn't signing with Hearns. Usyk's promoter looks like he has militia on standby, and he's too good of a translator. I guarantee you that the politics in Ukraine have it worked out so that some world level bad men are likely rolling with Usyk 24/7. Thats what I'd do, he's the best I've seen
Luis Ortiz vs Usyk

Yeah theres a gap in the market now that ggg has a loss. Expect things along the line of 'we dont hate usyk but his fans are the worst' thats usually the line they go down initially when they want to justify hating someoneUsyk is just coming off a great win. He was only supposed to outpoint Bellew not KO him with one big punch. Now is the time to hate him and hate him good before he gets any higher on the PFP lists. GGG officially lost a fight so he does not require as much hate as before.
Bellew..please spare us the Sob story
Bellew is all in his emotions, first of all has no credibility about talking about Heavyweights just because he fought and beat David Haye. Joshua, Wilder and Fury would easily annihilate Tony Bellew. What I seen from Usyk was a Cruiserweight version of a Alexander Povetkin. He's a good pressure fighter and strong but I can't see him beating any of the Top 4 heavyweights (Joshua, Wilder, Fury & Ortiz) he may can beat Whyte & Chisora sorry asses but oh well...for all that shyt Bellew said about Wilder I'm glad he got his ass KTFO... LOL
Disagree, Usyk must fight a giant to get used to size disadvantage. Povetkin would be a tough test but not really helpful going after AJ, Wilder and Fury.I just want him to get his chin checked before moving to the monsters! I would like Usyk vs. Bryant Jennings, but we already know. Povetkin or Charles Martin, then go from there!
You sick **** I mean Usyk should follow Tony Bellew's steps and avoid AJ and Wilder. Let's be honest that will never happen Usyk is here for one thing and one thing only. A pay cheque. Even if it means getting absolutely smashed by one of AJ's deadly combinations.
Watch him at WSB against Joe Joyce, Matteo Modugno and Junior Fa.
glowacki bout is pretty entertaining too.
:boxing:
edit- towards the end, in a replay it shows Glowacki missing with his overland left but he throws it like a monster.
Usyk has the skills to mix it with any of the current heavys
Wouldn’t mind seeing a Joyce rematch or even miller to see how he fairs with the big lads :boxing:
I think Joyce should steer clear of Usyk, I was feeling sorry for him after the 5th. He took a lot of clean Usyk punches and even walked into a few, Joyce has an iron beard. He proved himself that night, he elected to stand and fight. Fa is good, but Fa ran when he felt Usyk.
and that's why I consider joyce a superior sparring partner than fa.
glad you brought that bout up.
gonna watch it again.
Usyk is only started to get hated on this sight, so it means he has a way to go yet. I will get the ball rolling by declaring him the greatest fighter of all time LOL
Who exactly is hating him? I haven't seen that at all. This looks like manufactured hate to me.
Oh dear, respect to Bellew but him beating a damaged good in Haye doesn't mean he's any good. HW boxing is a different world and cowards like Joshua are licking their fingers now.
For any small Heavyweight to beat Wilder they must have good head movement and be able to work the body. A Mike Tyson of 1986 to 1989 would have been a nightmare for Wilder to bad we have no one like that right now
Usyk is indeed a threat to the heavyweight division.
His speed, footwork, tenacity and resilient can upset anyone out there.
His speed & "resilent" definitely can cause an upset.
WILDER KO 8!!!
BOOOOMB
SQUUAAAAAD!!!!!
This is the same fraud who got dropped by Stevenson, please
True that but obviuosly Bellew was not healthy at LHW. Wasnt he able to capture WBC title when he moved up and even able to KO Haye (washed up or not) at Heavyweight? Give the guy a break mate.
Bellew would destroy Stevenson at cruiser. 😂
Usyk must stay away from Wilder... and from Fury too. But he will be great against always young Dynamite Dubua. Also against heavyweight bags. And he should get a title shot at AJ but he might loose.
Big punchers like Wilder & Joshua are a threat to Usyk but his footwork, stamina and resilience would cause them troubles.
