Tank imo is good, Salido is done, retired shouldnt even be a thought for a opponent. prime for prime I dont think tank will handle Salido although hes explosive and very powerful he gets hit and salido does damge when he lands. No one has ever had a good time with him.
in your prime was never determined by age, it was determined by performance and opponent and how you looked vs those and funny thing about prime is usually you cant give that period of your career that stamp till youre out of it. People peak at different times, people having longer primes than others, people find a 2nd wind, and some just crash and burn after one great fight.
I dont mind tank davis taking it slow as long as he holds no title but once he does you lose the luxury to pick and choose imo, should only be fighting mando, contenders or other champions fighting anyone but those imo is a disgrace but I understand why it happens but still should be consider a disgrace.
Agreed, but age matters a lot. Anyway, if I had my choice, he'd be fighting Lomachenko in December. **** all this inactivity.
dont play with a dog like Salido boy he will come in and fuck up the quickness if you aint on your P' and Q's. Lets put it this way if they fought and Salido beat and stop tank I wouldnt be shocked one bit.
Good post. It wasn't meant in a bad way. The way boxing used to be someone like Davis could fight 10 bums till he's in his prime, 25. I don't want that shit.
Salido would be a challenge and for Davis to show how to dispose of a journeyman.
will be tough since he has reached his ceiling in weight classes he is already pushing it at 135
will rigo mikey and tank wins make him an ATG? idk thats not a bad resume but its hardly the stuff of legends
He'll lose this one. Mikey too. Davis-Lomachenko PPV 2020.

At the end of the day, I just want to see the fights as well. Give them all to me. 130-135 are good weight classes. Just need to see these guys fight each other.
I don't want to see Tank fail. I just want to see him against the best guys available.
I don't want to look back a few years from now and think what could have happened in those fights. We always get that in boxing. I don't want to see that happening with Loma-Mikey-Davis-Berchelt-Machado-etc. They should all be fighting each other.
We are on the same side. War Boxing:boxing:
I want Davis to be put to the test. None of this Mares stuff.
I heard Salido laughing as he read this thread title lmfao
I know Salido is a trainer or something now. Would he want to be Gervonta's tune-up for 135, just for fun and for the money? Is he in shape? Or Linares?
As always I appreciate your boxing knowledge, especially the amateurs.
For me, Ward isn't ATG because, not only the opposition or skill, but also personality. Dre's wins are good but nothing out this world, with a quiet boring personality. Boxing fans do love some ****talking at times. Same goes for Loma.
I'll crown Loma if he ever beats Davis or Mikey. There's really no other gauge other than going to 140 or 147. 135 is really much for Loma. He should fight at 130.

These guys: Ward, GGG, Canelo, Loma, aren't even this era's greatest. None distinguished themselves. I don't care about the heavyweight division and the robots in there. How can we speculate all time greatness (ATG)?
Loma's best win is goliaphed Linares. One thing to beat A class fighter, another level is to beat him being significantly smaller. Gary Russel might be better but he is 2 divisions lighter, I mean who would win between GRJ vs Linares at 135 lbs? Anyone of his resume?
Good post, bro. Green K.
Two Olympic gold medals with a 396-1 amateur record.
Three-division champion inside twelve fights.
He's already getting in the HOF.
Everyone defines ATG in a different way anyway. So who can say?
But for me, he's pretty close as it stands.
I mean, what 126, 130 or 135 guys would just destroy him? I think he would beat many and be a problem for all.
Totally. He'd be favored against most. Maybe close with Berchelt, Davis, and Mikey.
Way better huh? I doubt it. Ward's resume is really only made up of three names: Kovalev, Froch, and Kessler.
I was just curious if people regarded Ward as an ATG, because people sure do give him a lot of praise.
I was going to say that if Ward is an ATG then why can't a guy like Loma or any current fighter reach that status, because it's not like Ward did anything out of this World. That's all I was trying to say. No need to get offended.
By the way, Walter's win over Donaire is better than anyone Kovalev, Froch, and Kessler beat. Donaire wasn't ancient like Hopkins and is more accomplished than anyone else they beat.
Rigo's win over Donaire is even better. Rigo's win over Donaire is easily one of the best wins of this decade. Or you tell me 5 better wins than that for this decade.

The Kessler win is funny to me. When Joe beat him, people downplayed it. When Ward did, it became one of the greatest wins of all time.
Same with froch...ppl on here called him a caveman bum til ward beat him, then he suddenly became atg at smw.

Davis has the luxury of time. Rumors aren't facts. What's Loma best win?
The way Davis is going he isn't going to have a long career.
Don't get overconfident with his age. Everyone is different.
Some burn out quicker. For all you know Davis could be done by his late 20's.
Either way Davis is missing out on the present. Everyone is moving on without him.
Loma, Berchelt, Machado, the rest at 130 and 135 are doing their thing, while Davis is going to sit there and let his fans imagine how he would destroy all of these guys.
It's just funny seeing how everyone is so disrespectful towards Tank. Loma just called him out, but others are constantly saying he was easy work in sparring.

Nope, but he has way better wins than Loma's whole resume in only two fights like Kovalev and Froch. Who on Loma's resume is close to that?

I don't know if Berchelt has signed with Top Rank, but if you heard the commentary last night that is clearly a fight they will try to make next year.
Poor Tank is going to be left out. You're going to hate Loma more when he fights Berchelt, Machado, and other guys around their weight and Tank doesn't do anything, but let his fans talk about how he would destroy this guy and that guy.
Keep thinking while other fighters keep doing.
Tank has to be the most disrespected boxer in boxing. You have prospects saying that they beat Tank up in sparring and you have fighters constantly calling this guy out showing no fear of him.
Davis has the luxury of time. Rumors aren't facts. What's Loma best win?
Aren't Berchelt and Loma both with TR? Well...?
I don't see Berchelt being scared of Loma. He'd be licking his chops for that chance and money.

How about adding to Loma's resume unarguable ducking by Berchelt, Leo Santa Cruz and other "champions" to the point of being afraid to even mention his name + add Gervonta Davis who mentioned him in a way "why would Mayweather do that? Why would he make me fight with him?".
Clearly something not every HOFer could do in several weight classes!
