I read an article recently and the UFC traded some MMArtists to other promotions and it looks like they're all better off.

Maybe they should split the divisions among the networks to force guys to fight each other.
DAZN-HWT, Cruiser, LHW
PBC-SMW, MW, JMW, WW
ESPN, JWW, LW,SFW, FW
I'm not sure trading makes sense in boxing like it does in other sports, but I made a thread about boxing trades a few days ago cuz its an interesting concept I agree.
I DO THINK boxing promoters could work together better in the US like they seem to do more often in the UK. I feel like the UK promoters look out for the greater good of their fighters more often then US promoters do. US promoters are stingy with their fighters. So if US promoters would say hey let this guy come over to my platform & I'll let this other guy to come over to your platform to give the fans the fight they wanna see & the fighters the opportunity & money they want that would seem doable without actually trading fighters for good.
That's exactly how I see it. Take someone like Zurdo Ramirez. Arum has no1 for him unless we see Zurdo vs Hart fight 3+ times. Ramirez to another promoter for 2 or 3 featherweights from GBP or PBC would likely play/pay out well for everyone.

contracts are bought out. that's basically a trade.
but usually a promotor doesn't want to relinquish the right to promote an asset he invested into,.
Boxers would not stand for that. They want to chose for themselves who they fight for. They sign contracts they must abide by and the other side must also abide by the contract. They won't allow themselves to be traded off with no say in the matter. Boxers are the boss of their own career and that's the way it should be. Many of the MMA groups are dictatorships with a greedy dictator making most of the money and the guys getting punched and kicked getting fuked with low pay and no say in their career. They must do as they are told or hit the road. Thank God pro boxing doesn't work like that.
I believed de la goya once brought that up but more of a loan. He proposed letting TR borrow mates in exchange for Rios. TR would've made Mars vs donaire and Gbp would've made rios vs maidana I think at 140.
Damn, De La Hoya was onto to something. Would have loved both of those fights a few years ago.

The Askren-Johnson trade was a combat sports first. Boxing promoters don't have the brains to trade for a fighter they may only get one PPV or Major card out of it.
Promoters in boxing work against each other a lot, hence why we have all these shytty in house fights and certain important fights being deemed near impossible.
