Is it going away? Since 9/8 for Garcia-Porters we haven't had a single card and they only have one more this year, Stevenson-Gvozdyk. So the last 3 1/2 months of the year just one single card? I know they said that next year they are going to do one fight card a month but it seems like they badly spaced their cards out this year....
Ughhhhh you're so ****ing stupid that it's impossible trying to talk to you. You admit you're some random Mexican fan who doesn't know anything, but then try to act like you know everything.
HBO's annual boxing budget wasn't used to subsidize a Hopkins PPV, just as SHO's annual boxing budget isn't used to subsidize a Wilder PPV. That's not how it works.
The guaranteed purses for Hopkins vs Dawson combined for $1.8 million. Even at 50k buys, plus live gate, foreign rights, etc, it's a profitable fight. You have no idea what you're talking about.
Why u calling me Mexican fam ? Getting hella racial
lol. That was like two minutes apart.
You just got owned. :spank:
You just call me Big Daddy from now on, and I won't humiliate you anymore. And that's just because I'm a nice guy.
clearly you lack reading comprehension skills. Try reading those quotes slowly? I said "Who Haymon didn't offer them fights?" That means exactly what it says. Who said that. I never said either way if they did or didn't. How would we know the answer to that. You clearly lack fundamental reading comprehension skills.
Good try tho brotha
If you really believe I'm Lem, bet me. Don't hide behind a computer screen where your lies have no consequences. Put your money where your mouth is. I know you said you're just some random Mexican fan, so I won't try to get you to bet me 100k. Just put up 10k. I'll still put up 100k. That's 10 to 1 odds. If you really believe I'm Lem, you'll gladly take this bet. Even if you're broke, you can pawn stuff or borrow from relatives. This would be a life changing opportunity for you if you really believe I'm Lem. $100,000 for free. What do you have to lose if you really believe I'm Lem?
Why do you call me a Mexican fan. I am not Mexican
Where have you been?
It's always been that way for Showtime every last quarter of the year.
Bottom line is don't rely on Showtime for your boxing fix.
Look elsewhere.
Like I said, signing up for subscription does't make any sense.
You end up waiting for nothing.
Who said Haymon didn't offer them? Showtime has blown through their budget. I am sure that a lot of SHO's budget is subsidizing Wilder-Fury
i don’t act like anything. I didn’t say they turned fights down. I said pbc has tons of inactive fighters and they sure could have used another date this year.
Showtime isn’t going to make a pretty penny off wilder vs fury. It’s not a big ppv.
Pac-Broner is a much bigger ppv.
lol. That was like two minutes apart.

Hold on Lemmer.

Hold on Lemmer. U getting your panties in a wad. Fury and wilder are getting paid a lot more than that. I hope they do a lot more sells too because if not there will be a blood bath. Remember it was HBO’s decision to turn that fight into a ppv because they didn’t have the budget left. Then the rematch wasn’t ppv.
So if ggg goes to DAZN how long do u think it will take Jermall to join him? January?

I remember when I was young. My buddies and I would go to the fights. Jimmy Fillets and Donny "the claw" Peterson would have staged fights down at the docks. They had an incredible record fighting over their daily catches. We were not interested in the fish then as there was a worldwide shortage of Garlic. Anyway to take the trolley would cost a nickel each way. We would get on the trolley and wolf whistle at all the pretty dames standing on the corners. Sometimes we would have relations with them. By the time we got to the fights we would all have a toasted onion on a stick and watch the blood fly. I think back to those days and realize how good we all had it. These days it cost way more than a nickel to take a trolley.

Whoa Whoa Whoa there! Sir please reduce the swearing and name calling. May I ask what you get paid to do here?
It did. They didn’t have the budget left to pay for it all. It did like 50k buys lol. You think gbp took that whole loss?

Showtime got the cash for shows imo
They made money from mayweather ppvs. I think they get 10% of the ppv revenue...isnt that 40mil from mayweather mcgregor...maybe theyve spent that,i havent kept track of number of shows since. Ratings are pretty bad though. Although matchups have been good. Their plan failed miserably though. They thought fighter profiles would increase fighting on free tv and nothing of the sort happened. People have attention span for 5 fighters. They thought they could change that. A stupid misjudgement
I'm not Lem. As always, you're 100% wrong.
When Hopkins vs Dawson aired on HBO PPV, it didn't come out of HBO's annual boxing budget. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Just like when hbo put Hopkins vs Dawson on ppv it was to subsidize the card.

Do you have some evidence, did someone report that Haymon offered fights to Showtime and they turned it down? What fights did Haymon offer? Won't they be announced for next year, pretty soon?
Also, I'm pretty sure Showtime is making a pretty penny from the Wilder-Fury fight. That is going to make them money, not cost them.
Maybe Showtime has blown through their budget, maybe PBC has wanted fights, but Showtime turned them down, but to just accuse them of that, with absolutely no evidence whatsoever, makes zero sense.
You act like PBC is offering Showtime all these fights and that everyone knows it. The only PBC fights I've even been hearing about are all ppv. Who else is supposed to fight this year? What are these fights that us fans would have, if only someone would air them?i don’t act like anything. I didn’t say they turned fights down. Pac-Broner is a much bigger ppv.
You were also sure Haymon had nothing to do with Danny Jacobs, only for Jacobs' manager to come forward the next day to say that Haymon plays a daily role in Jacobs' career.
You then admitted you're just some random Mexican fan that doesn't know anyone or anything.
Yet now you're "sure" that "a lot of SHO's budget is subsidizing Wilder-Fury" even though that's not how PPVs work at all. It's hilarious how wrong you are day in and day out.Lem, u have no idea what you’re talking about.
Just like when hbo put Hopkins vs Dawson on ppv it was to subsidize the card.
In simple terms Wilder and Fury are not pay per view fighters. At least not in the USA. But they want to be paid like ppv fighters to face each other.
Showtime can’t afford their purses. As evident by them having one card from mid September till mid January so they are putting this card on ppv.
I know Showtime would be thrilled by 350k buys. If this is successful or not comes down to revenue vs guaranteed purses. What u think Haymon is making these guarantees out of his own pocket on two non established ppv fighters and then he is gonna do it again in February with Errol and Mikey sandwiched around the ppv of Pac-Broner that Haymon has it title “Washed” ?
Most fans would be lucky to buy 1 of those cards. All those purses are being subsidized somewhere. You know it. I know. Look how cheap and one sided the undercard is? They are keeping the costs down.
WHY isn't that money that was earmarked for Joshua-Povetkin not used for another card this Q4? Bro you have all the answers. Let's see how you SPIN THIS.
And for the 5th time, What was the last year SHO had ONE SCB card in Q4? We still need that answer fam!!
All the data has been presented to you. And it is fact that this year is no different than what we have seen the last two years during college football season. That is a fact. Only reason the Joshua fight in September wasn't on SHO is because his contract was up. The $2 million rights fees or whatever it was for the Joshua/Povetkin fight isn't even half of the average card on SHO. Why are you acting like that was a earth shattering amount or something?
And this conversation is officially over. You choose to believe what you want to.
I am sure that a lot of SHO's budget is subsidizing Wilder-Fury

What happened to Showtime Championship Boxing?
They work with the PBC. They need the long breaks to plan out fights that make no sense and that nobody cares about.
Hey instead of Crawford vs Spence and Mikey vs Loma, lets stick a fork in a toaster and wreck any opportunity of either of them.
Who said Haymon didn't offer them? Showtime has blown through their budget. I am sure that a lot of SHO's budget is subsidizing Wilder-Fury
