What's the verdict here? Does this prove PBC never really wanted the fight, and that the negotiation that took place was just for shows? It's possible. In the sport of boxing it's not clear where to put the blame when fights are not getting made. Of course, it's always based on subjective opinions and it depends on your dislike of/for the fighter. There are groups of people here that simplifies it by laying the blame solely on the fighter. Pacquiao, for example, is blamed for cherrypicking from the moment he stepped foot in the ring even when he was still a dirt-poor Philipino who most likely was taken advantage of by unscrupulous promoters and agents. Yet there he is hated and blamed for cherrypicking every fight he was in. He got old and signed to fight Spence, but that didn't count for his haters. Point is the buck should always stop with the fighter. I'd rather blame people behind the business, but it's complicated.
