It’s insanely short notice. It’s a world title fight in what? Three weeks? No way people are going to walk their out of shape ass to get KO’d for that. Look at David Price’s last match. But they could corner combat sports 2021 and have that foothold when the rights do become available How?? Bellator and UFC are sewn up in the UK and Ireland in long term deals with other IP based services. You couldnt charge 10 quid here for DAZN to only show combat sports whilst every other territory gets loads of other stuff anyway.

I stated in another thread but he is only one month into a brand new venture. That really isn’t a bad start when you take that into consideration, he built up the expectation which is where people have the right to have a go. Having said that for $9.99 you now get , on boxing alone, WBSS, 32 matchroom card and 10 Golden Boys. That includes the top heavyweight fighter amongst numerous fights within the division; the top cruiserweight fighter and obviously Canelo. Then he has a few interesting fighters such as Anthony Sims jnr coming up for the future. There is obviously room for improvement and I’ll judge him better after 12 months but there some fights which have been on , or scheduled of interest to me. $9.99 in my opinion is a bargain. Joshua vs Povetkin Usyk vs Bellew (10th Nov) Those were/ two standouts so far for me but others coming up I’m interested in; and there is a hell of a lot more coming. Gives me s chance to see ally if fighters I wouldn’t otherwise have seen. Zhang vs Ustinov Canelo vs Fielding Whyte vs Chisora2 (TBC) Like I said, by 2020 or 2021 DAZN will be parting with Hearns! He’s trying to get almost any fight even tried to get the rumored Chavez jr vs Martinez rematch which shows his desperation! AJ pulled in barely any subscribers and his views was below horrid for the Povetkin fight so Hearns is banking on Canelo even though Oscar is the promoter! He talked about Canelo more than Daniel Jacobs and Andrade combined! He’s a good shît talker Hearn is and knows how to create a narrative and his work ethic is solid but his trolling and arrogance will be his undoing! DAZN have no plans to enter the UK market. They'd require home sports to supplement boxing which would have to include some form of EPL rights package. The EPL rights packages went up for tender last year . Sky paid over 3 and a half billion... BT paid over a billion for the lesser packages and Amazon picked up the last for over 400 million for the worst games in the worst time slots. Those packages won't come up for tender for another 4 years or so. Matchroom and Sky are contracted now until 2025. No DAZN for UK fans. Black fighters typically have their largest followings on IG, which is why I list the IG numbers. I know it's common for uneducated inexperienced amateurs to mock the idea of looking at social media numbers or google trends to track how popular a fighter is, but it's a very easy an accurate way to do so and something every network and promoter does. These Matchroom USA cards seem to be getting progressively worse and it’s not like they started with hot fire DAZn needs to step it up Miller against a no name headlining Rios vs the Alvarez brother no one gives a sh.it about Arias / Rosado = OK Burns vs a no name A Nico Hernandez showcase And Shields Not exactly a top notch card Well, look at Hearn's stable right now. It really lacks and he hasn't had the type of fighters he thought he would be adding. And there is a solid chance if a top fighter is to go to DAZN, it will be with GBP and not Matchroom. I thought the Chicago card was fun. I enjoyed it. Not high quality but good enough for me. Boston card was meh but it had the best fight announced on DAZN scrapped because of a positive drug test from BJS. If I was Hearn, I wouldn't have put Beterbiev/Smith on the December 15 card, that was a bad move. That card will promote itself with Canelo, time to build your own stable/cards.

That's a good price if you love football and UFC. Looks like they have a lot of money behind them so it will be interesting to see what else they pick up in the future. Looks like golf. They already picked up the rights to the 2018 PGA championship and with sky and the BBC turning away from golf.. seems like a natural home.

£5.99 a month or £49.99 per annum. La Liga and serie A rights for the UK Aswell as all UFC cards . Minimal expenditure. I couldn't care less about la Liga and Italian football but might pick it up for the UFC. That's a good price if you love football and UFC. Looks like they have a lot of money behind them so it will be interesting to see what else they pick up in the future.
