This BT rubbish only came out in August when Warren did a interview. and it’s not relevant as the fight was being financed from the US Side of things. UK PPV was just pennies on top. And none of this is relevant to Eddie Hearn. He works for Joshua. If his client is getting the best deal he can, and there’s nothing to stop him, why not accept the deal ? and what was the date for the fight if they accepted that $50m offer?

Yeah the only hindrance to that being that Hearn said he's happy to offer 35/40 provided wilder wins and wins well. Let's face reality and say he does no more than 400k.. or at least absolute reality unequivocally and say he doesn't touch a million buys to be given 50/50 like Hearn said . If he gets offered 40 he HAS to take it. It doesn't matter if the money is coming from DAZN or showtime or what... If he's offered that amount he should take it. End of. If he decides he's going to prove himself out with 50/50 with poor buy rates from the fury fight.. or even worse 60/40 in his favour.. or decide that he won't take any amount on the principle that hearns promoting or its on DAZN..then that's a straight duck. If they took that offer it means that Hearn isn't promoting.. therefore he has no say in allocation of distribution rights for foreign territories for TV. It was reveleaed that Warren and BT were working with Finkel on that 50 million offer.. they admitted it! Therefore UK TV rights would have gone to BT sport's and because he had no say in the TV distribution to territories within that offer then AJ would have been in direct contravention of his exclusive UK rights deal with Sky sports.. effectively killing the fight!! Joshua fights cannot be broadcast in the UK on a channel other than SKY.. if Hearn accepted that offer and relinquished control of TV distribution to Finkel and associates then it would have been given to BT and Hearn would have agreed on it. No... In the Manny / PAC situation you had two fighters.. one each per network. There were viable claims for both and it was in the main market for each fighter and in all parties best interests to split the telecast. Wilder does not have a deal with BT ..he has no UK network deal at all for exclusivity .There is absolutely no reason for BT to be involved in this fight whatsoever. When you have the A side..undeniably the A side in Anthony joshua signed to an exclusive UK rights deal with Sky sports.. and then offer him a "guarantee" of X or y amount whereby some of that money has now admittedly been fronted by the direct UK competitor of sky sports..it's simply never going to Happen. With that guarantee being accepted by Hearn it would have meant that finkel / tbg /dibella etc would have been the promoters retaining distribution rights and the UK distribution rights of that fight would have gone directly to BT. There would be no tender ..it would have been part of the agreement that for putting any amount of involvement or finance into the guarantee, that BT got UK rights on that fight. That is an absolute deal killer. You can spew 50 million all you want.. but when it means that upon acceptance , Joshua would be in direct contravention of his UK broadcast exclusivity contract and SKY would lose the fight, it was never going to happen and Finkel and all involved knew that.Good luck getting them to accept that as the truth, they've been told dozens of times at this point yet they ignore it and carry on blaming Eddie Hearn.
