Amazing fight! Crawford struggled early like most fighters do against the elite 25-1 underdog benavidez jr but then he got into his groove and started to pull away. What a fantastic performance by tbud!! This proves why he is the clear cut p4p #1 in boxing. I think terrence deserves a tune up fight next and then sit down with his team and bob arum and go for the big one against mike alvarado, I just hope its not PPV.
Also I know Im not the only but who else feels crawford gives prime SRL, Floyd, and Manny problems?? He is an absolute nightmare match up for all 3.

How can he possibly prove that he's no1 when he's fighting a guy that has zero title fight wins and no top level experience at all?
You can't expect a fighter to get credit for not only fighting an opponent with 2 tuneups against unknowns in 2 years but also when the opponent was shot in his knee. TC took care of him like we all thought he would. But don't act like this is a good win for him because it literally proved nothing.
you are probably the least gay poster in this thread
This site is so whiny and insecure when it comes to Terrence Crawford. You accuse him of ducking everyone, never give him credit when he fights the people you said he'd duck, and try desperately to claim he's overrated no matter how fights actually go.
This sums it all up. Nothing really more to say.
Benavidez notable wins are Mauricio Herrera 2014(robbed, Herrera outboxed him) and Jorge Paez Jr 2015.
so to say this win puts him at #1 pound 4 pound is ridiculous.
why not fight a top 10 welterweight.
There's literally not a single person who says this win puts him at p4p #1, and he fought a top 10 welterweight in his previous fight.
I swear you people just make **** up as you go.

Jesus, better fighters than Crawford have had less than stellar performances against worse fighters than Benavidez. This is exactly what I just said about people on this site trying desperately to denigrate Crawford no matter how hypocritical it comes across. This is such ridiculous ****ing logic.
it don't get much worse then fighting a guy with one leg
Crawford didn't look that great to me. He easily beat Benavitez but so what? Benavitez looked like a very average boxer with a weird crablike style. He can't fight much and he is not elite or anywhere close to elite. Crawford is on my pound for pound best list but no where near number 1. If he was the best fighter in the world he would have KOed Benavitez in a few rounds. Spence would have KOed Benavidez quickly and I think Spence would KO Crawford so I have Spence ahead of Crawford PFP. You say Crawford had this incredible performance that makes him the clear number 1. I say he performed poorly for a so called top pound for pound fighter and is probably overrated by many right now. Crawford has had some great wins and accomplishments but I don't think this was one of them.

Thank God we won't find 13 people who agree with you. Most people have Crawford as number 1 already. Then count me as one of those 13 for certain because I think Canelo, GGG, Loma and Spence are all a bit better than Crawford is right now as a welterweight off this fight. Crawford is 31 which is about the age when many boxers start to go down hill. I have seen Crawford look much better in the past but PFP is about right now not the past. I think Spence would have only needed 4 rounds or less to KO Benavitez.
But he was 27-0 coming into the fight, he was also the bigger and stronger man plus his career isn’t over what if he goes on to win a world title? A bit premature to act like he’s just some cherry pick when his only loss is Crawford.

So Crawford has a few close rounds before taking over and stopping his undefeatyopponent and people are trolling when floyd struggled with maidaina, Loma got dropped by Linares and ward didn’t have it all his own way with Abraham. So what?
Well the only difference in those examples are the other opponents had actually proven beforehand to be pretty decent fighters. In Maidana case he got better after linking up with Garcia.
Last night, Bud fought a guy who had fought nobody to get to 27-0. Crawford is a damn good fighter but I dont like the way his future looks over at TR and I dont like how much he gets tagged with big shots but if he can take a punch then that's no big deal I guess.
But they had won world titles, competed at a high world class level, even if they won some and lost some, they were in the mix.
Benavidez had not done anything anywhere near that and was clearly a one legged fighter. And anyway, i'm not knocking Crawford, he got the job done as top fighters do but comparing Benavidez to the guys you mentioned is a bad comparison.
