Crawford is supposed to be P4P top 2, in the prime of his life at 31 years of age. He didn't look it tonight.
For the first 6 rounds benavidez looked like damn pernell Whitaker in there. Bobbing and weaving with his hands down making crawford miss just like at the weigh in. While sometimes getting the better of crawford during exchanges. Let's not forget, benavidez was inactive for almost two years and fighting with one leg.
After 6, when it was obvious benavidez was tired and his knee cap had collapsed on him, only then is when crawford "found his rhythm" and "made adjustments" lmao.
Thurman and Spence blast this kid. And lets face it, an active benavidez with two legs beats him.
Crawford let me down tonight. And this shows he's been fighting nothing but uber drivers. He fought a B level fighter tonight. Can you imagine what happens when he steps up to the A level fighters?
Let's face it. After tonight, Bob arum is keeping him far far away from the PBC guys.
Crawford is one of those fighters where it all depends how good his opponent is for him to show how good he is in there himself, like there are levels to his adjustments. Pacquiao, D. Garcia, Porter, Thurman, Spence, all those high level guys would bring out his best tools I believe.
Crawford overrated plain and simple
Nothing new here, he needs to act more like getto trash and beat women so he can go up a notch in the black community. He losing support quick
I'm curious to what the official score cards were going into the 12th.

People saying Loma over Crawford are hopelessly delusional. Loma has a loss against journeyman Salido and was put down by and went life and death against C- Linares, who has been KOed 3 times by C grade fighters.
Think about that for a minute.
Crawfords 2nd fight was against the highly regarded Filiberto Nieto, with a glossy 1-4 record.
Think about that for a minute.

These anti-Crawford threads are meant to discredit him as P4P #1 and give Lomachenko a bigger boost. Although I wasn't thoroughly impressed with Crawford his performance didn't do anything to lessen my opinion he's the best of the best. He was never in danger of losing the fight and he finished Benavidez. What else was he expected to do? With that being said I give Spence a greater chance to beat him. My problem with Crawford last night was him walking into shots he didn't see coming. He also couldn't afford to be tentative against Spence like was early in the fight. Spence applies all kinds of crazy pressure.
Relax, he's not a power puncher.
He dominated the whole fight. How many rounds did Benavidez win?
As they said, he's the 2nd coming of Floyd Mayweather, boring but takes time to drown his opponents deep water and check mate!
The first KD was a sensational knock down, the refs should not have stopped it at the point that he did. I would have preferred Jose going out on his shield.
this is crazy...... Crawford got the job done against an awkward opponent.... he had to be the offensive fighter against a tall, rangey guy.
Styles make fights...

:lol1: I don't know what it is but all the comedians are out today in full force! Keep up the great work my funny friend!
P.S. (you can PM me whenever you like, I usually respond within a day or so. Cya 'round, kid)
He figured out that Jose doesn't/cannot defend body punches.
... of course (because of his right leg)...
He won by knock out while losing maybe 2 rounds....
... "maybe" -- right...
While taking zero punishment.
... :) ...
Bud did what he needed to do and took over in the 2nd half
But I think he lost a bit of lustre after tonight’s fight. Not saying he isn’t legit and a A class fighter but he’s looked amazing fighting overmatched opponets don’t think he’s #1 P4P and if he ever fought Spence I think he gets body bagged
... Yes, Bud waited for the way bigger Benavidez to tire a little... (Benavidez' only chance was to KO Bud in the first place)...
hes heavy overhyped for what hes achieved which is, not much. people getting carried away cause he looked good in weak divisions, yesterday shows that the number 31 welterwight is about as good as the top jr welters that crawford fought. i wouldnt be so sure that crawford beats porter let alone spence/thurman in fact i think he loses to the lot of them
Stop being delusional. Porter/Thurman had tough times with Garcia's boxing, Crawford's skills are superior to Garcia's.

Why are black fans impressed with Crawford just because he outscored Benavidez in nearly every round and got the TKO? Big deal. Chavez did that years ago.
I think people are going too far when they say he's #1 P4P but he's still a very good fighter. He definitely has flaws but he's got some nice skills too. I was a little surprised at how much he was getting hit tonight and if Benevidez didn't have a bum knee I don't know if Bud would have managed to get the upper hand starting around the 6th round. There were too many things that Benevidez did that were working well for me to feel that Crawford is the best fighter in the welterweight division.....Or maybe Benevidez is a great fighter too?...Hmmm, not sure about that though.
