I have a ton of respect for bud for cleaning out an entire division then moving up in weight.. He is without a doubt one of the top p4p boxers in the world HOWEVER, Spence will have easy work with bud and without question ko bud by round 8. I was not impressed with bud tonight AT ALL!!! EJ is the BEST WW in the world right now! FACTS!!!
Bud can fight going on the front foot, can fight off the back foot, uses the ring laterally well, feint traps, parry the jab counter, 1-2-3, stance switch specialist, catch an shoot, pot shot, and body ripper!
Spence is gonna have no choice but to soak damage while trying to deliver his which is his primary weapon besides the left hook!
I see Bud exploiting this flaw in Spence and of course going thru tough storms but soldiering on for the dub!
Benvanidez had to put up with all that from bud and was tied with him after 6 rounds. Not only that but he caught bud with some good flush shots. If he had any power what so ever he might have got rid of bud in that fight.
Spence is a technically sound boxer with superb fundamentals. He does not make mistakes. His power is 2nd to none. The huge difference in this fight is that spence can walk through all
of buds shots whereas bud will not be able to walk through spences shots. Think hagler vs srl with bud not able to move like srl which will
spell destruction for bud.
How exactly does bud have more weapons at his disposal?

Resumes don’t tell the whole story. Comparing their strengths and weaknesses I see them evenly matched.
I know most people see them evenly matched but i shake my head because no one has ever seen bud fight a top 15 ww. There isnt a ww fighter in the top 20 who couldnt beat horn. The guy was a gym teacher lmao
I dont know about all that, many people had brook up 4-2 after the first 6 rnds of that fight and many people had benvanidez and crawford tied 3-3 after the first 6 of that fight.. The difference is that spence was fighting one of if not the very best ww in the world in his own backyard and crawford was fighting a guy with one leg who isnt even ranked in the top 20.
People are still giving bud props but he is still very much untested at ww. Spence fought 2 guys who some can argue that both guys were top 5 wws when spence fought them.

Neither Spence or Crawford have been tested to the extent they were taken into deep waters. Spence has a power advantage while Crawford has the footwork and speed advantage. I still think it is a 50/50 fight.

i would heavily favour spence. crawford has never fought anyone with skill whereas spence has fought brook who was a world class welterweight. crawfords not going to know how to deal with a legit world class fighter after fighting weak opposition for so long
Gamboa was a skilled guy and unbeaten. He's a more accomplished fighter than Brook. Postol is roughly the same/similar level to Brook and both those fighters were coming off good wins. Brook was boiling back down to 147 and coming off a crushing loss.
I think you've held Crawford to a higher standard than Spence.
crawford has no power at ww! ej will walk right through his punches and on the flip side, i guarantee u that bud will not be able to take ejs body shots and by the 8th round ej will start teeing off on him. crawford will be lucky to hang with any of the top 5 wws in the world. i hope they favor bud if they ever fight because i will make a **** ton of money on it!
stopped reading right there.
Everyone seems to think that bud vs spence will be a good fight, a 50-50 fight if u will, but that will not be the case, ej is going tod beat the brakes off bud and make the ko look easy. Bud cant hurt spence but spence will without a doubt hurt bud.
I actually think it would be an easier fight for Spence than Brook. The problem with Spence is that people think of him as a one dimensional come forward fighter. Those are just people who haven’t watched all his fights. He can actually adjust pretty well.
If you want to see him utilize lateral movement and and dip in and out of range with foot work, Watch the last few rounds of the fight with Peterson.
If you want to see him fight going backwards, watch the Brook fight (he fought going backwards when Brook pressured him).
The reason why he is the best is that he is a pressure fighter that can also fight going backwards. If Crawford tries to run, it will only give Spence more power because of momentum. This is why he is dangerous. And of course his size...he will probably end his career at middleweight.
We have not seen the best of him yet because his competition hasn’t been the best. Which is not his fault. He’s called out everyone with sincerity.
Why are people using Brook as an example of how Spence can get to Crawford? Brook is flatfooted and basic compared to Crawford. He doesn't have nearly the speed, movement, or versatility.
Picking Bud by decision, more tools and better footwork!
Spence May drop Bud tho so Crawford must be on his A game cuz Spence rips shots with supreme authority!
Still, going with the fighter who has more weapons at his disposal vs the guy who has the stronger weapon and size!
Gonna be a great chess boxing match till it heats up!
Make it happen Bob and Al!

Spence via KO in the 7th round. He is just a bigger, and more athletic fighter than Crawford.
brotha man. im from the US, california to be exact. we have great beaches out here.

People keep saying spence is a “weight bully” however they forget that spence is the IBF champion. He can not gain more than 10lbs on fight night! I would be willing to bet money that ALL the top wws in the world come in on fight night at least 10 lbs over. So how is spence a weight bully if he is coming into the fight at the same weight as his opponent?
Now someone correct me if i am wrong but if spence ever gets a chance at unifying the titles, i believe that he doesnt have to have a same day weigh in. Meaning when it comes to unification title bouts, spence can literally gain as much weight as he wants to come fight night. This is a tremendous advantage for spence when and if he fights any of the other ww champions bud, thurman, or porter.. This will make it even worse for bud!

I was watching the Benevides fight over the weekend and thought the same thing. Bud was getting hit by some clean, hard shots. If Spence hit him with the same, (he would) he would be minced meat. Now I know why he wants none of Spence.
But in fairness, Spence almost has the same height and reach as Roy Jones Jr.. He's a BIG A55 WW!
Obviously spence is the bigger man, younger and still fresh. He would probably start as the favourite, right now i see Spence winning. Bud obviously can outbox spence but i just feel they are both quite good at the moment and the difference might be how they carry the weight.
Both guys have shown vulnerabilities but I think Crawford's the more versatile fighter and MORE EXPERIENCED overall. Spence is skilled as well don't get me wrong but he sorta is the "weight bully" of the Division being he can fight comfortably at 154 right now. I don't see the size difference being an issue for Crawford who I think will be a lot more tactical and will be pulling out a lot of tricks out the bag on top of switching Orthodox / Southpaw at the drop and be EFFECTIVE. I think Crawford puts on a master performance against Spence. I have a feeling it might happen sooner than later.
