Just look who gave Lomachenko more competitive fight - GRJ or Rigo? Yeah, GRJ did nothing but Rigo was small and old. Back then I thought Rigo had good chances against Lomachenko but now when I think about that, it's just his cult followers made me think so, clouded my judgement with their bold predictions about broken jaws, that left hand, about Loma gonna be hitting air whole night and everything. A lot of flaws on that win from age to size, not good enough to turn anybody from hater to fan.
True true ,but size did not play a factor. If Loma used his size to gain an advantage I would say well it was obvious. Rigo had a longer reach and was the bigger puncher. Also leading up to the fight was way more evasive than Loma as he was a calculated counter puncher. I rated Rigo’s skills so how can I discredit anyone that humbled him
Gatry Russell had accomplished absolutely nothing. Yes he was a great fighter but he had fought nobody. He stepped up his competition with Loma and was found wanting. Rigo on the other hand was a double Olympic champion . He had pedigree was a defensive genius and had power in his left hand to stop any 130 pound champion. No one as an amateur or professional embarrassed Rigo like that. Gary Russel has fought probably 2 times since his defeat to Loma , nobody cares about him

That's why I'm glad Rigo's cult following is vanished. GRJ is arguably a way better win and Rigo is not some kind of boxing god, not good enough of a win to turn you into a hater to a fan definitely

Prior to the Rigo fight I have to admit I was Lomachenko ‘s biggest hater I just couldn’t see what you all saw in him . In my head there was excuses for all of his great wins from Garry Russell to Axe man. When he fought Rigo I thought we will put an end to this matador crap. This Matrix bulls#hit. He humbled my guy and made him quit so I have had no choice but to review my assessment of him. He then moved up in weight and disciplined Linares. So I am a converted fan.
I like Bud and he is extremely skilled but the opponents he beat to be undisputed were all garbage. The fighter from New Orleans (Prograis) can beat each and every one of them.
If Crawford beats someone of note at 147 then I will give him his props, Diaz,Postal and Indongo doesn’t do it for me

He calls Loma #1 in the world though.
For me, it's damn close, but I'd agree until I see Crawford fight a top guy at 147. And, no, the Aussie wasn't a top guy.
B b b but that Aussie guy was #1 on boxrec at the time lol
Can we be allies?
When you bring up 'titles" in a P4P discussion you know the arguments is weak because yeah you can win titles beating paper champs like Idongo.
You got a ginger who beat Lara, GGG, Trout, Cotto, Mosley in his career.
You got an Ukranian midget who beat Linares, Walters, Russel jr, Rigondeaux.
Then you got Bud who beat Idongo, Gomboa, Postol and Horn and fighting this chollo idiot of Benavidez Jose next.
Undefeated is not an argument to me, therefore Marciano would be the HW GOAT.
And talking about undef guys, Mikey might have a better record than Bud too IMO 4 divisions ect...if you want to go this way.
You made more sense with your keyboards than anyone else on this site today.

I’ll just give it to Canelo since Crawford is fighting 100 to 1 underdogs. I hate to do that but I’m tired of these guys not fighting
That wasn't my question, you don't even got a top ten list and come here talking shyte! You just wanted to take shots at me. I hate when people get into P4P discussions acting like they know a thing or two and then turns out they don't even have a top ten! GTFOH!!!
You are the one who just don't know sht about boxing and only cares about fighters, fighters you're fan of or fighters you feel triggered about and hate on like Joshua, Mikey ect...
You always talk about fighters, not so much about boxing bru.
I don't have to have a list, or answer to your dumb question to tell you that Bud isn't the P4P number one, Loma and Canelo are above him, that's all I meant, it's not Bud fault but he had campains in utterly weak divisions.
Like I said there is no clear P4P king, if I had to pick one, it would be Loma like most, but things could change quickly if Nelo stop GGG in a 3rd opus Mayo 2019, Bud beats Thurman/Spence or Mikey beats Loma...
I am so sick of this crawford is #1 p4p *****. BASED OFFFF WHAT??????? Midget past prime gamboa and math teach jeff horn???? WHO THE ***** HAS THIS GUY BEAT??? He's pushing 32 years old with 0 ELITE WINS. Go look at danny or thurmans resumes and compare it to this guys. HES DONE *****!
Buds resume doesn’t put him at the top of the list. He needs some defining fights, he has a chance but he is signed to Top Rank which is going to hurt his case
There is no real P4P king like DLH (pre 147/Trinidad loss), Floyd or Roy might have been IMO over the last decades
And you were the one painting Bud as such an obvious P4P king .
NOBODY proved such P4P value.
And out of the challengers Mikey, Nelo, Loma, Bud I would certainly not pick Bud who has faced the worst oppo of them all.

I don't know why he had to separate #1 in America and the "earth". Lomachenko only fights in America so he's basically an American fighter with a Ukrainian background. I also don't understand why there's a debate on who's #1. Either one you pick is worthy. Crawford has done enough to be #1 in my eyes. I hold the Salido loss against Lomachenko but everything he's done since has been impressive. He lost to Salido! He would get a pass for losing to much better fighter but not to a journeyman.
Yeah Loma who was behind on the scores vs. Jorge Linares, dropped in that fight.
The case for Crawford being #1. was already made when he became 2x lineal and undisputed from 135-140, obviously before the Jeff Horn win at welterweight -- capturing the WBO so EASY only strengthen Crawfords case.
Theres a guy named Olek Usyk whos never been dominated, beat or ever lost to a cab driver like Salidoe that should be in the conversation for being #2. To keep it real.

Pound for pound is opinion. Some may say it's also about who you beat so far, in which case Canelo could say he is the best, although some people disputed the decision victory over GGG. Canelo can rightly argue his case on quality of opposition defeated. Crawford, Loma and Spence could say, on talent, they are no. 1 pound for pound.
