Lewis and it isn't even close.
Ali lost to Norton all 3 times. Lost to Shavers. Lost to young. Got robberies apart from the first Norton fight as Norton got the decision. Illegally loosened the ropes in order to lean back on them to avoid Foreman's amateur swinging. Ropes have to be a certain tightness by law. Never are they that loose. It was obvious what went on. He then fought Frazier after he had been brutalised by Foreman thus making the rematch much easier for Ali.
A lot of the fighters Ali fought were either shot or complete bums. Who did he really beat?
I notice all the strawmen arguments regarding Lewis getting knocked out by McCall and Rahman. We're talking about resumes of who they beat, not who they didn't beat. However, Lewis lost to McCall after not doing any sparring as he didn't have any interest in fighting him. He was frustrated by being ducked by the top fighters. He went in there and rushed his work. But even saying that, the ref stopped the fight too early and never gave Lewis the chance others have got. I think we know the reason why. Well, if you're not dumb that is.
Then we have the Rahman fight in which Lewis again didn't train, came in at his heaviest weight, and turned up in South Africa with the altitude far too late. So much so it was all people were talking about leading up to the fight. You could even see it with Lewis with his mouth wide open in the first round trying to suck oxygen in. He was sluggish as hell.
When you put their actual wins down, Ali is left lacking in ways that are laughable. Basic and nothing more than good fighters being cast down as "Great". They weren't, no matter how much you want to insult my intelligence. Lewis' opponents would make quick work of Ali's. Could you imagine Tua vs Frazier? Vitali vs Foreman? Holyfield vs Norton? They're mismatches in a horrible way.
Ali isn't just the most grotesquely overrated fighter in history. He's the most grotesquely overrated athlete of all time. We won't see such insanity on this level again. That's how bad it actually is. Myth. Nothing more.
Lewis lost to McCall and Rahman, his wins over past prime McCall and past prime Rahman in rematches don't matter. He beat completely finished Tyson and drew with well past his best Holyfield, before losing the rematch 115-113 to even more past his best Holyfield. Also lost in his prime to past prime Mercer 98-92, before a no-contest vs Vitali. Also, why did he duck Butterbean?
Lewis even ducked Bowe and tried to make it seem like it was the other way around to fool the public. Lewis also lost 44 times in sparring and he was trying his very best, and lost to Rahman when they had that scrap in the studio. Rahman threw Lewis around like an empty suit. Ali has the much better resume. Cash in
Lennox my favorite heavyweight of all times but Ali Resume is full of Boxing ICONS: George Foreman, Joe Frazier, Ken Norton, Floyd Patterson, Sonny Liston, Archie Moore...
That is IMPOSSIBLE to match!
All less skilled and advanced fighters then len fought i dont call that better your slow
All things considered Ali has the better record in my opinion and I don't think Lewis has the 2nd best record either. Ali had almost 4 years of his young prime unfairly taken from him by the government. Ali was never knocked out or badly beaten in his prime. Lewis was knocked out twice in the middle of his prime by two very ordinary heavyweights. The fact that he avenged both of those loses doesn't mean they didn't happen. They did happen and it's a black mark on Lewis's record. I think Louis and Marciano also had better records than Lewis even if they were too long ago and two small for your taste. Compare Louis's 25 successful heavyweight world title defenses in a row to Lewis's record. You have really been pushing Lewis hard lately as the best heavyweight of all time but not many non English fans seem to agree with you. I am not saying Lewis wasn't a great heavyweight but I am saying I don't think he was the 1st or 2nd greatest of all time.

ali has a much, much better resume. but lewis probably beats him.
I respect your opinion, remember the difference between these two, favors Ali. And that difference is STAMINA & CHIN .
Both are top 2 greatest resumes in heavyweight history.
Ali. He was never knocked out in his prime against other hall of famers. In fact was never knocked out at all in his prime, where as Lennox was.... I like Lennox, he's an all time great Heavywgt champion.
