Shelly Finkel Responds To New Offer From Hearn - Still Refuses To Meet Hearn

Barry Hearn sent what is stated to be a ‘new improved offer’ to Wilder, three months after talks initially broke down. “So now a new improved offer has been made to Wilders camp. Let’s see if they will finally agree to a meeting to discuss or not,” stated Hearn. “Fans will find out if both sides really want this fight and I know AJ does. No obstacles from our end so just waiting for a response,” he added. WBN immediately contacted Shelly Finkel for comment. Finkel duly confirmed receipt. But clarified that Joshua that commitments with Fury would now make talks impossible until December. “I can confirm that Hearn sent something but I have a big fight on December 1. That is where all my focus is,” Finkel exclusively told World Boxing News. “If after the fight he wants to meet or send me something, that is when I will deal with it. I don’t want any distractions now,” he confirmed. Previously, Finkel had told WBN he’d be open to a new offer being sent or even face-to-face talks. “If your father wants to meet on October 6th or 7th in New York I’d be glad to. But it’s waste of time if we don’t have a real offer,” said Finkel. The u-turn could mean one of two things. Either the terms aren’t good enough, or Wilder has realized first-hand just what a serious fight he’s currently in with Fury. So Shelly previously asked for new offer before he meets Hearn and now that he’s got a great new offer (Rumoured $20mil + 35% percentage split) he refuses to talk about the offer or call it a rubbish offer like has has with every other offer?! And contradicts himself and says he is no longer willing to make the fight until after the fight with Fury!!! They are ducking, this guy is a clown! Shelly has also been caught lying and has contradicted what Wilder and Warren have been saying. When he was questioned why he did not sign the contact to fight AJ due to no date or venue in contract, but signed the Fury fight without a date or venue. He responded that the date and venue was all finalised back in August after Fury vs Pianeta fight.. But Frank Warren and Wilder himself throughout September said that they are still looking for a venue and even a date due to the interest in this fight there are many locations interested. So Eddie has now confirmed he isn't expecting a deal to be signed before 1st December but does want some discussions / progress to ensure the deal can be made. He also suggesting he has had to remove Shelly out of he conversation to progress and hopefully make he fight in April. Interesting.. could his still be on? He didn’t “confirm,” he amended. Which he’ll continue to do as his bargaining power shrinks.

Wilder will not negotiate with aj until after this fight, if you all had a fighter in wilder shoes and you were a promoter you would not advise your fighter to sign a deal before a fight that could give him more leverage in the negotiations. We understand it fits your agenda to take this stance and play stupid, but hearns mind games are a bit old. just sign the whyte fight and let us all move on, maybe the fight can be made later. if hearn wanted this fight he would have offered a percentage before hand as nothing has changed about wilder since the last failed negotiations. Its clear hearn took the more business savy route and is doing what a promoter is supposed to do, but we are fans... business does not suit us. Hearn got what he wanted, another fight before wilder and in the process he ruined him and AJs rep now Wilder has moved on and has a big money fight of his own, leave him alone and wait until after this fight. this is just another ploy so that he and you all can have another way to say wilder ruined the fight. You mentioned the six months and three months, so I used that as an example. When I say hold off until December, I'm not saying the fight will be signed then, just that's when they can start negotiating. I mentioned earlier you only need 8-9 weeks of promotion. Mayweather/Pacquiao got signed on February 20 and the fight took place on May 5th. Did that hurt the promotion? Mayweather/McGregor was announced on June 14 and the fight took place on August 26, did that hurt the promotion? If anything, "pre-announcing" a fight six months beforehand could hurt it. You will have folks waiting that long for it? If they start negotiating in December and agree to terms by mid-January, they will be just fine. so, don't worry about any possible additional show purchasers due to 3 -5 extra months of publicity? got it.

WBC isn't stopping the big fight from happening. They will hold off on calling the Breazeale fight if Wilder/Joshua are negotiating. What are you talking about the fight won't generate as much money if they hold off until December? Are you guys even listening to the crap you guys are saying? Once this fight gets announced, it is going to take off and dominate all the headlines in both sides of the pond. Anthony Joshua turned down a minimum of 50 mil to fight Wilder in Vegas. What?!?! Only an idiot would do that. If Wilder and his team came to me RIGHT NOW and said fight Wilder tomorrow morning in Wilder's garage for 25 million flat fee. I'd say where do I sign!!! Case closed!!! just cos you don't have millions doesn't mean everyone has to have your world view. 50million to you is not the same as 50 mil to someone who makes over 20mil per fight. if you are going to make that argument, also remember that the contract would have never gone anywhere. the fight had to be on BTsport, which Aj couldn't have signed for according to his contract with sky.

What MANAGER in their right mind would make wilder sign a contract now to fight aj later? Wilder is on the cusp of being the most powerful hw boxer on the planet! With a win over fury not only will he become the lineal he champion of the world, but he will also hold the much coveted green belt which means the belts aj have dont mean a damn thing being there is no lineage to ANY of his belts! Wilder would have beat the man who beat the man and in my opinion will make him the A side in ANY future fights and that includes with aj. Hearns very last hope is that the wilder fury fight is a dud and doesnt generate any money, but we all know thats not happening. Stay off the weeeeeeeedddddddddddddddddddd (Stephen A Smith voice). If Wilder beats Fury and the PPV does good numbers, he ends up getting a very good split, but he's not going to be the A side in that fight.

the comments were before, but they still very much apply now. he said he would be willing to meet if an offer was presented, and this was days before the official wilder-fury announcement. so it was already well known that wilder-fury was happening in december, even if December 1 wasn't confirmed. in any case, finkle never said that he wouldn't meet because he was preparing for a december fight. his story was always, send an offer, then we'll meet. even though he was working on the wilder fight. Eddie made this offer when he did to crash the Wilder-Fury press tour and announcement. That’s why he went public. It’s eating him alive and he can’t stand someone else getting attention. Notice he didn’t make it the week before AJ-Povetkin.
