In 1983, boxing trainer Panama Lewis put plaster of Paris in Luis Resto's gloves that led to Billy Collins Jr. taking a savage, brutal beating. Collins suffered a torn iris and had permanently blurred vision. In 1984, Collins was killed when the car in which he was a passenger crashed into a culvert near his home in Antioch, Tennessee, a suburb of Nashville. The autopsy showed he died a short time later at the scene of the accident after the driver of the vehicle left him abandoned and injured. Many commentators, as well as Collins' family, believe that the loss of his livelihood broke him emotionally and physically. Was Collins' death a suicide? How was it a suicide if he was not driving? I believe he did. I watched a documentary on this and what happened was a disgrace! Billy was getting hit with hard rock solid punches and never quit. That man was a warrior. They say that he was never the same after that and he struggled to cope with life.

Now, don't post some fool's video with his assumptions or opinions because thats what you want to believe or some writer's article or any other stupid thing like that. Go read the actual report from the CA forensic lab that analyzed the pads. If after reading that report you still don't understand why they were suspended or you still claim he had actual plaster you're hopeless. Dude, post your proof. I ain't digging for you . Check it out yourself online.......Trinidad had em' illegally wrapped (not "plaster", but ILLEGALLY wrapped) for Hopkins. Who knows how many times before him! And Margarito???? Come on man, are you his cousin? He must be his cousin. Tito and Tito Sr were not suspended . Canelo was allowed to double stack in Las Vegas and Texas . Tito was not in NY . Antonio Plasterito was caught with moulded pad. Capetillo's excuse was laughable. The mould was already done to TOnio's fists. They fit perfectly.

as already mentioned Billy's Dad has one version of events, which easily might lead one to the conclusion that Billy was hitting the self-destruct button, but as time goes on, the truth gets further away... All I can take from it all is a sense of sadness that such an honourable, passionate sport as boxing can be so polluted by what can only be properly called Human Filth

Except Tito did not do the plaster thing . He had double stack the is legal in Nevada but not in NY. Billy's father said Jr become a drunk and despondent after that fight . Billy lost 20% of his vision but could actually still applied for a boxing license. Sr did not want him to box because they had a lawsuit against the NYSAC. Panama Lewis removed the horse hair padding on Resto's gloves. It was only decades later that Resto claimed PL also had plaster of paris put in his wraps . I wouldn't be shocked if Panama also tampered with Pryor's gloves in the first fight with Arguello. Those gloves went missing after the fight . This right here basically sums it up.
