Look for Golovkin to train with Freddie Roach next

Nacho. I think Triple G needs to be with a more technical trainer. He's too slow to catch Canelo if he takes lead. So why not work on some counters? Let Canelo come to him and he can counter off of that. I think he has a better shot at catching Canelo clean this way, instead of going forward and trying to catch Canelo then. yep, he shots as many powershots as canelo but way lower % but fighting counter = back off foot again, it'll be embarassing for him

He really didn't do much. Look what happen as soon as Cotto was in with Canelo. And then for his last fight against Sadam Ali, Roach couldnt tell Cotto jack! I actually thought Cotto did really well against Canelo... He definitely overlooked Ali, had one foot out the door and lost a close one to Sadam. But didn't you notice the leaps in his offensive creativity after joining Roach? He definitely wouldn't have had that last run of his career if he didn't team up with Roach.

Can anyone think of a really good trainer GGG could work with? Problem is there are no likes of Eddie Futch or Emmanuel Steward type trainers, guys who knew how to train inside out. Training in boxing has been suffering for a long time. Its going to get alot worse.

I'm not convinced that Golovkin will fight again. If he does, jumping ship to a new trainer might be a good move. Don't know if Roach would be my choice though, I think Naazim might be a good pick if Naazim is up for it.

Or he can join the Lomachenko team. He already trains in Big Bear anyway. Loma trains in BOXnard.
