I haven't looked into it properly but I assume from what I know that it would make the fists harder and give a more concentrated surface area when punching. It would basically translate to punches seemingly hitting harder and carrying the power in a smaller area, doing more damage. At this point it is obvious that Canelo and his team have taken advantage of every single opportunity to get to where they are. They are cheats, plain and simple.
