There was a 4 year gap between the 1st and 2nd fight. Then a 3 year gap between the 2nd and 3rd fight.
Plenty of people felt pacquiao lost these fights so why didn't Pacquiao immediately give him a rematch to prove them wrong???
See this is the difference between Pacquiao and fighters like Canelo and TBE. Many people felt floyd lost to castillo and what did he do? He gave him a rematch within that SAME YEAR. People felt like GGG won so what did canelo do? Offered him an immediate rematch
Did Bob Arum and pacquiao wait for JMM to get old??? It appears so but it obviously backfired
Thank god i support true warriors like Ca$hnelo and Mr. TBE
:usa: :usa:
LOL!
You said "you remind me of a hoe named Juanita (Ain't lying to you). She always threatened to leave me"
Now you want to call me Juanita.
LOL! I do not want to be in your fruity fantasy. Go take a cold shower.
Again you can’t think of anything original. You just copy my disses. LOL!
I hope you and Juan are happy. . . oops I mean Juanita. Wink wink. I won’t out you.
Yet you keep coming back for more verbal abuse. This is exactly what HOES do. Cry and complain all the time but you know deep down, you've got nowhere else to go.
So keep your mouth shut and enjoy the abuse, Hoe. It's official now. Your name's JUANITA.
Told Ya, hoe !! You can't live without me. You're just a hoe trapped in a girly man's body. You try to hide that fact with a false bravado but that HOE in you is dying to get out. A hoe is a hoe and you know it's true, hoe.
Now that you've come out of the closet, the next thing you gotta do is admit that you're a sore loser like JUANITA.

Actually I did not say that. But that would have been wise. Instead I stuck around too long and you started posting weird fantasizes about me. Not only are you a loser but you want to break out of the closet to me. I am not asking so don't tell.
LOL Juanita = Juan. You said so. Don't worry your secret is safe on BoxingScene.

Remember when you said I was just wasting your time and you would never respond to me again?
Well, your b1tch a55 is still here. :bottle:
Now, you remind me of a hoe named Juanita (Ain't lying to you). She always threatened to leave me every time I treated her like a cheap sex toy only to come crawling back to me like...well...YOU, hoe !!

You have really been fantasizing about this stuff . . . I'd tell you to go take a cold shower but it looks like you already made a mess of yourself. LOL

You're just a mad, Juanita's certified lover. I knew it from the get go. You're on your back now JUANITA STYLE. The definition of a canvass kisser.
Don't be shy to express your g4y little feelings toward Juanita.

Dude, here's the thing. Trav and ChrisJS came at me with knowledge and respect in their posts. You come at me laughing and mocking my stance. You're acting very crudely toward me for no reason. I'm no die hard Pac fan. Like I said in another post, I'm a fan of both. This kind of behavior gets all kinds of beefs going and keeps them rolling on here non-stop with no substance to them at all.
Just a little advice. Come at me with respect next time or don't bother.
MuffinTop is a Twat. DOnt expect an improvement.
Hey, I'm a marquez fan really. I always liked watching him, similar to Salvador Sanchez imo with the great counter-punching. I like Pac too of course. I don't look at it as black and white "Gotta love one and hate the other" kind of thing. I understand what you're saying but I made my point to the OP who seems to be of the opinion that Pac was afraid of Marquez and I don't see how he can be when he gave him three rematches. By the same token, I wasn't saying Marquez was scared but I didn't think it was very cool to deny Pac a fifth fight and if it was a faux offer, I get it but this is why I generally don't go into debates about who said what or who wanted who. So many different people say so many different things. I mean, I never know who to trust on stuff like this.
Either way, good breakdown and it sounds like you got to meet a legend which is awesome!
Great post!
Whatever, man. Keep trying to bully your way into conversations. You'll be immensely popular and make lots of friends. :lol1:
If that's what you call bullying...wait, lmao. Bullying...!!!??? Never ****en mind hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha lol. Ayo hahahahahahahahahahah lol.

The next time you start posting that Marquez didn't want it...in another thread...I'm going to roast you alive. And ball this answer up and throw it in the garbage. Don't ever insult us with your lunatic take on Marquez not wanting "it". Ever.

Yeah the notion that either guy was scared is crazy considering they fought four times LOL. I am a diehard Marquez fan he’s my favorite fighter of all-time bar none but it’s hard not have respect Pacquaio or have enjoyed his fights.
$750k for fight 1 and he was offered that for fight 2. He ended up with $3m when they fought in 2008.
Pacquaio wasn’t TR promoted and had no such promises of a re-match pay raise though. Marquez stool to his principles.
The revenue went up for the rematch and that's why he got 3 mil. He had originally gotten only a $100,000 raise.
Well said. And Pac made how much?

It's a common misconception that Marquez fought John instead of Pacquaio again. Marquez was going to fight Pacquaio again in February of 2005 and then didn't accept the fight he fought Victor Polo on Castillo-Corrales instead. He was WBA super champion and IBF champion and a purse bid was ordered for him to fight his mandatory which was a Thai challenger (who lost to Pereira for the vacant title) and Top Rank didn't bid (Nacho & Quintana had problems with TR at this time) so due to a then WBA ruling you can't be a "super champion" if you aren't unified so they kept John as the regular champion and Marquez was left without either title but in the WBA #1 mandatory position. He fought John a year and a fight after the Pacquaio debacle.
The reason the Marquez-Pacquaio re-match didn't happen was because Marquez received $750k for the first fight and was told before the fight "If there's a re-match you'll make $1m" and despite Marquez being defending champion again that wasn't granted. Marquez received $1.5m for the re-match in 2008 so one could say he ultimately made the right decision but I can't help but feel he lost time. He'd have beaten Pacquaio in 2005 and then he'd have gotten the Barrera fight sooner and probably even a Morales fight.
Things happen for a reason and as a result Marquez got a storybook ending to the rivalry and no doubt ended up richer. If he'd have gotten the fight in 2005 he'd have won more decisively to the point I don't think he'd have made the type of money he did chasing Pacquaio all the way up to welterweight and earning mainstream global appeal and status as a recognized national icon.
Well said. And Pac made how much?
First of all Marquez said that he wanted a raise, and when he didn't get that raise, he fought John...came back to the table, got his measly raise and the rest is history. Did you find out how much more Marquez made from fight 1 to fight 2, lmao???
Marquez didn't beg for anything. The fans wanted to see these fights. Marquez feels he won 2 of the fights and that's why he's at peace with not fighting a 5th fight. And those Ariza shakes, Roach said that he didn't know what was in them! WHOA!!!
