because lets be honest, he may be the 3 belt champ but he is still learning and getting better and more refined with every fight and he has only had 21 of those so far lets not forget.he will be 29 in a few months but i think like Wlad he will hit his absolute peak few years at around the age of 31-32. Wilder better hurry up and get in there while there is still a glimmer of a chance for him because if he fights Joshua any time post mid 2019 i give him zero chance.
he's 100% in his physical prime, you're crazy if you think otherwise. he is 29 years old in a few months.
he might get a bit better at pacing himself, nuanced things about finding space for shots and finishing, but for the most part joshua is who he is at this stage. his best years are these years and the next few. invariably his body will wear down after that. it's boxing.
Funny how Tyson hit his prime at the young age of 22 but some guys get better in early 30s.
huge difference between the two kinds of athletes. takes a big man a lot longer to learn how to use his body, to fill out and develop real power.
mike tyson was 195 lbs when he was 13 years old and built like a grown man.

Aj is in his peak for the next 3 years....as long as he stays away from D.Wilder....
I don't think he's hit his peak just yet. I like that he's learned the lesson from Klitschko and become a little more risk averse which won't make him more popular but its smart in terms of longevity and not taking much punishment. A guy who is 6 foot 6 with an 82 inch reach and good overall boxing ability is going to be very hard for anyone to beat.
I like Joshua but I think Klitschko took something out of that guy. He might be past it. I will see how he fights in the next 3 fights.
Agree and disagree.
His newfound cautiousness means he won't have as many dominant victories.
But it also will allow him to not lose in the foreseeable future.
Does that mean he's plateaued? Depends on whether you're interested in KOs or Ws.

Not sure he was prime then, He was just discipline....Had he kept his same team around him he may have evolved more

Tyson was a one off.
Lewis, Wlad and Vitali are all good examples of big guys who got better with age. you can see AJ is still getting better and learning with every fight. he is learning he doesn't have to look for the KO to win, and his boxing skills will only improve the more championship rounds he gets under his belt.
