Name the current fighters who have a better resume then Danny Garcia

Also most of those big names on Danny's resume were old and pretty shot when they fought him. i agree. People need to stop this **** with the posting shot fighters and giving people credit for it. Morales was 3 weight classes above his best and washed up when Garcia beat him. If we're gonna do that, then at one point Chad Dawson had Hopkins, Tarver, and Johnson on his resume. 2 ring fighters of the year out of that even though all of them were in their 40s. Zab Judah was done by then too and still put up a good fight. I like Garcia though and his resume is good, but some of those names shouldn't be mentioned. I was one of very few in the Internet community that picked him to beat Mattysse. I was convinced. I even said Garcia was gonna knock him out. I just never saw anything special in Mattysse other than power. If you stand in front of him, you make him look great. If you move and show him angles, he looks average. I also picked Pac to knock out Mattysse when most of this site actually gave him a chance at winning. I just refused to believe a guy that Postol made quit wouldn't be knocked out by Pac

As a former fighter I cringe every time they label fighters bum or not top fighter & what not.... the truth of the matter is that Ghost is (at the time a world class fighter) something that many which they can reach that level. I'll say this boxing has changed drastically. I like Garcia & I like Porter. Garcia's win over Holt & Campbell were big because at that time he wasn't even suppose to be competing against them...he was a nobody. So he overachieved at an early stage in his career. Then he gets the Khan fight & the rest is history. It is what it is....the majority here don't realize what goes on backstage. There are lots of stages/levels in boxing & becoming a WORLD CLASS FIGHTER is something that not everyone reaches.

Spence has a better resume? GGG a better resume? Are you on drugs boy?? ggg has beaten 9 top 10 fighters in his weight class(should be 10 as canelo fight was a bad decision) so 9-10 to garcias 4(herrera only was put in the top 10 after getting robbed against garcia so that hardly counts) if he had truly lost he wouldn't have been upgraded to top 10 status on a loss. for all the "names" a lot weren't top 10 when he actually fought them. also if you focus on top wins ggg beat the top 3 in his division as of 2017 rankings(including canelo robbery) and he also beat geale top 5 and murray who was robbed against martinez so he should have been the champ and obviously top 5. meanwhile garcia did beat 3 top 3 guys in his division but judah was mostly there due to his robbery win over matthysse so its not as good as the ranking suggests. so top level wins it should be 5-2 or 5-3 in ggg's favor. more top wins and more solid wins=better but thats just my opinion. what do i know im just a boxing expert!

Danny got multiple gifts. He's an overachiever but his resume doesn't tell the story. Lots of guys would look good if they got the number of gifts Danny has.

What's crazy is i have never seen him on a p4p list................. there's a lot of subjectivity when you hash out the best fighter in the world, never mind the tenth. they can't all fight each other, they aren't teh same size, so you have to guess. that said, maybe after the matthysse fight you could consider garcia a "fringe" pound for pounder, but otherwise i implore you to use your eyes and ask the question yourself. that's what a pound for pound list is. in my eyes garcia was marginally on the cusp of being on a pound for pound list, and only briefly. in hindsight we can also take a good deal from his wins against matthysse and khan, as well. matthysse was a very limited fighter. danny had one of the best chins in boxing and styles make fights. he timed khan with a hook, he took matthysse's power and outboxed him and beat him up. if you can do those things you can beat those guys. others have.

It's a dope resume for sure!!!! if he cleans out current welter is he an ATG?????? an all time great? no. danny garcia is not that good. it would speak to limitations of the current WW crop more than anything. prime errol spence isnt' that good if he can't beat danny garcia on the back 9 and at WW, is he?

It's like a who's who of the "over the hill" club. Half these guys werent anywhere near their peak when garcia faced them khan and matthysse weren't at their peaks? this thread is like a who's who of short memories.

yeah its good that a bunch of old guys who have been in the industry for decades without any accountability judge them. i mean all 3 judges giving round 10 to ward in the first kovalev fight is the craziest thing ever. then when you look at their cards you see the reason why. they simply couldnt give it to kovalev or he would win so they didnt. not sure how these guys are better than the media. the media might suck but these judges suck on purpose to get the winner they want. thankfully you are just a fight fan and not biased I've never been a Ward fan ever,but I score fairly and Kov was outboxed in that fight..The body work in that fight was a master class by Ward..
