This is just some excellent training. I remember seeing a similar video of early mayweather taking flush shots to the face non-stop for 15 minutes and well, he's TBE. Great Training!

And just because the kid partook in this doesn't mean that it isn't wrong. Those of you saying, he didn't protest or he agreed to it are ****en *******. Kids do what adults ask in that situation or you aren't able to join that gym. Sometimes the kid will do anything to be a part of that gym or please the trainer. I have never seen video of any great fighter...a legend going back to the 1800's taking punches like that in training.

Anyone who has ever tried boxing in life knows that this is wrong. This is accepted in other parts of the world-and it's still wrong. Those of you who don't think it's wrong tell me the benefit that the kid is learning in this video. Tell me one benefit, and then go join a ****en gym and take the same punishment. Some weirdo countries do stuff like this and the guy isn't trying to get his rocks off lol. Some bad training tech out there and this is one of them. These guys think you can train someone to be tough by taking punches. I've actually seen this before but not in a Boxing gym. There are better ways to get the same result. Nobody should take punches to get tough, all that happens in different levels of sparring. Getting tough to the body is done with a good medicine ball routine.

Totally agree with you here. Boxing is a brutal sport and they are preparing that boy for every aspect of it. I'm no expert but that's not how you should train a kid. You're fxcked up if you think banging a kid around will do anything but needlessly concuss him and cause long term damage.

Totally agree with you here. Boxing is a brutal sport and they are preparing that boy for every aspect of it. It's misguided preparation don't you think? They should be teaching him to slip punches, not take them flush in the face. The reason being is that he'll grow a false sense of security in the gym taking punches flush and it'll translate into his fights, where he'll get KOd believing he's immune to taking shots. But most importantly, as someone mentioned earlier, taking that many shots with your neck snapping back and brain being disturbed in your skull is likely to cause brain damage and shorten your career significantly. It's madness.

Oh wow, I get the idea here, but this is new levels of stupid. They're training concussions. Super light punches to the face to train seeing gloves and not flinching makes sense, but his head movement on those uppercuts show that his neck is not strong enough for the punches of that strength. It's not enough to KO him, but I bet it's enough to move the brain around slightly, causing small concussions. Dumb dumb dumb, this only makes you more susceptible to concussions in the future. Concussions are BRAIN INJURIES. The exact thing you are trying to avoid in boxing. Would be much better to train the neck and back in a controlled manner that doesn't shock the position of the brain.

That's crazy man. That dude should be locked away in cuffs for pulling a stunt like that. That's abuse. He should teach the kid how to defend against punches by blocking and slipping them not absorbing them.
