I have never understood nor bought the premise that boxing in USA is dead.
Look at the deals boxing have been making in American this summer.
Matchroom USA on DAZN, Top Rank extending their deal with ESPN and PBC possible with a deal with FOX.
Showtime and HBO also still have boxing.
Boxing is doing great in American in my opinion.
Im from Europe myself and live there. And boxing over here except for the UK is pretty much done.
In Spain, Italy and France there are some nice shows from time to time.
Boxing in Germany is over, its done. The market is pretty much dead and there is no major TV station showing boxing or backing it.
Even in Russia the cards are getting smaller and smaller. The opponents they get over are just not competitive, just as in Germany.
The UK is the only place where boxing is doing great. And it really is doing good over there.
Kinda sad to hear about EU boxing dwindling...
Do you think it's because EU athletes are moving over to the states and being featured in US fights whereas the Klitschkos and other European stars used to primarily fight in Europe?
