Just putting this out there.
We know that British fans, while fiercely loyal, are also among the most savvy in the sport.
AJ vs Pulev (Takam) sold out in a couple of days.
AJ vs Parker sold out in a few hours.
Here we are closing in on two weeks from the time the tickets went on sale for Joshua vs Povetkin (three weeks from the day the fight was officially announced) and there are still plenty of tickets left.
Is this something Joshua and Hearn need to be concerned about, should they be confident the fight will sell out eventually, or is it a little of both?
One thing about the britts is that they tend to work with what they have. That's a good quality. When AJ/Hearn was all they had they waved those banners proud. Now that Fury is back, I think a lot of them realize they don't need that phony Eddie Hearn BS anymore, they have options as to who they can root for.
Go on Stubhub, try and buy a ticket for a section, itll tell you how manys left if you hover over a section. Theres about
8,000 x £40
3,000 x £60
700 x £400
300 x £800
50 x £2,000
I get more than you do available.
But, not so many that it isn't clear they will sell out and that they've already sold quite a bit.
Throw in the World Cup hangover mentioned upthread and it may all be explainable.
But, we will see...
I am just curious, where are you getting that number from?
Because, the last time they sold that many tickets they reported it. No such reports right now tho.
Here is what is being said:
Tickets for the huge Anthony Joshua vs Alexander Povetkin clash went on sale earlier this week and, whilst some price brackets have sold out, there are still plenty left.

Now I admit, this article is almost a week old, so where are you getting your numbers?

never been sold on AJ I know exactly what he is in fact he has overachieved so far with a little bit of help
he is a money making machine for Hearn and Sky they are not gonna risk losing it Hearn would not have taken the povetkin fights if he had the choice but he wants AJ to keep the belts as they will be another bargaining chip if a fight is made between wilder/fury
I say World cup hangover..England went to the semis in the tournament and lots of fans traveled to Russia..Lots of Russians will be seeing the fight too
I’m sure some are but most of them are some gullible children for Hearn and cucking hard for aj.
You would think so.
But, if you check StubHub (there's a link in the article I posted) you will see there is still plenty left.
Looks like they've sold 75-80,000 tickets so far. Itll sell out. If not they'll just roll out Dave Allen to shift the last few thousand
