I thought Povetkin would be the toughest fight of Anthony Joshua's career. That's what Eddie Hearn said.
No one believes this. Povetkin is too small and a drug cheat that only got the fight because Hearn didn't want to launch DAZN with a US PPV, which AJ/Wilder is.
AJ should easily beat him without worry.
I'd be more interested if Povetkin hadn't looked rubbish in his last 2 fights and wasn't nearly 40 years old and showing it.
I don't think it'll take a special fighter to beat Joshua, but i'm also doubtful that a 6ft over the hill guy in his late 30's is the man to do it.
I think a younger Povetkin gives him real problems but at this point i think it's just a case of AJ adding a nice name to his record by getting Povetkin at the right time.
Povetkin prob will KO AJ no doubt about it. AJ will defo do a funny dance at least once or twice as per his fights. Hopefully Povetkin don't become gun shy & gives a show.
Whose Povetkin??? You mean that short reach, puggy little guy? Well, not too many guys with his build Carry many belts except Mike Tyson. Tyson had fast footwork and great upper body movement and let’s not forget real knock out power. Povetkin has one of 3. It ain’t going to cut it with a 6’6 and up giant whose athletic.
