British former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury says a deal to fight Deontay Wilder is "almost done".
Fury made his return to boxing after a 32-month absence with an easy victory over Sefer Seferi last month.
The 29-year-old is set to fight Italian Francesco Pianeta on 18 August and said a bout with America's WBC title holder Wilder could follow in December.
"I'll flatten him first and then Wilder, let's dance," said Fury in a post on social media.
Fury stunned Wladimir Klitschko to land the WBA, IBF and WBO world titles in 2015 before being suspended in 2016 amid "anti-doping and medical issues" and accepting a backdated two-year ban.
He says he will not be complacent about the Pianeta bout, and views him as the ideal opponent to use as preparation for a fight with Wilder.
"I am a man of my word, and if I say I'll fight, I will fight you," he added.
"Negotiations are very strong and we're almost done with this deal."
He also made a video:

Unless the impossible happens and Pianeta beats Fury I'm 95% sure this fight happens in December.
Fury has lost more weight since his last fight also:

What has he done to dispute him not being a bum
Look at this resume
Look at his last fight when he was given 20 secs to recover
I am serious, wilder had the chance to prove everyone wrong but instead proved he is not a true champion when he never signed to fight
Oh wow, bless your heart :sad6:
Just be here after the fight.
Why would I not be?
Your problem is you think that because I feel Wilder will win if they meet in the next few months, that has to mean I dislike AJ or discount what he is doing.
But, what if I really think AJ will wind up the dominant heavy of this era?
His chin looked great against Ortiz...who just smoked his last opponent in less than 2 rounds.
AJ got put on his ass by a guy that looked like crap his last 2 fights, a Wlad that couldn't catch up to anyone for over 2 years.
Alarm bells are ringing, kid...

Correction. Wilder has been knocked down twice. By Sconiers and Nichols ^^.
13 or 130 fight it doesn't matter. If your chin is poor it will always be poor. Sure you can master your defence to decrease your chances of getting tagger, but Wilder hasn't done that. His defence is still shyt and he gets hit with all kind of punches in his every fight.
Who are those guys with more skill and experience than AJ that Wilder KTFOed? :lol1:

But why mention cash at all you weirdo?
"OMG i hope Deontay dives off a board in to a sea of gold coins like Scrooge McDuck. Hes my hero"

Oh yeah, it makes zero sense to mention cash at all when discussing folks who fight for a living.
Next.
See, now you are giving yourself and your lack of comprehension away.
Go back and read what I wrote.
I first mentioned "lineal", "longest reigning champ", and "trilogy".
Then I hoped that it was lucrative.
But all you saw was me mentioning money.
Work on that.

Not gunna get overly excited about this until I see a finalised deal, and, more importantly, Fury’s next fight. His first fight back he clearly looked like a guy who hadn’t been boxing for a long time.
Fury back to his best or somewhere near it and this is a hell of a matchup
Yea I don’t doubt that Wilder-Fury can sell the fight to the boxing world but in Nov/Dec the money sports in the US will be in full swing (NBA, NFL, MLB playoffs). These bouts need to be sold to the sporting world for this plan to work out in Haymon and Wilders Favor. Spence is gonna be good either way, as long as he wins. Wilder needs this bout to make waves and money. So when AJ and co. gets to talking that Wembley chit next year, wilder can rebuttal with “I’m already a PPV star”.
Anytime is possible, Trump is president. Stay Woke. If they work together they could all easily make more than what you listed there. Spence-Garcia would be co main event obviously, other cheaper fights would be on UC. Boxing fans tune in/pay $ for good matchups not stars, casuals pay for names. Wilder drew 1mill+ against Ortiz, Spence did 725k against Ocampo, pretty sure Garcia numbers will come back 800k+. You can expect atleast 500k be willing to pay for a card of this magnitude. Wilder/Spence have raised their profile immensely this year. I know Mayweather is the largest draw ever in boxing, but his shows with Maidana did 1mill twice, clash with Cotto did a 1.5mill, and Al Haymon promoted those cards with little to no significant fighters on the undercards.Americans want to get behind a new HW star and while Wilder doesn’t have the best skills, I believe a lot will pay if promoted correctly to see him fight someone with a name that’s talks mad chit.
Spence/Garcia have done good numbers, but not Broner type of numbers yet. Remember, Golovkin was doing 1.5 million on HBO and barely did 150k vs Lemiuex and 170k vs Jacobs.
It's hard to hit 500k in PPV buys. Spence and Garcia aren't going to want to be on anyone's UC. These will be separate PPVs if the fights end up getting made.
If Spence/Garcia do over 200k buys then that will be good, and if around 300k? That would be great for them.
Wilder/Fury should target the 350-400k range themselves which is no given. But have them on all these debate shows and radio shows and who knows what kind of spark they create.
The fact that you need to mention something that may or may not have happened in only his 13th fight, is proof of how thin those straws are that you are grasping at.
AJ got decked last year. Wilder took those blows from Ortiz this year.
That's what is relevant.
And no, AJ won't see Wilder's right hand coming.
It's already KTFO of guys with more skill and experience than AJ.
AJ eats right hands everytime he fights. He will with Deontay as well.

The true champ is aj who both are scared to fight
This fight will bomb, nobody cares about either anymore and it will sell hardly anything on Ppv
Reality will hit how much of a bum wilder is after this
Who turns down $50 million to become undisputed against a bum?
Why does AJ need more than 8 week training camp to prepare for this bum?
Why did daddy Hearn said he'll advise AJ to stay away from Wilder?
Why send a contract with no date against a bum??
questions questions..
The UK is a land full of cowards and p*ssies. only Fury gets respect for not hiding under his promoter's ball sack like GayJ is doing.
hahahah...watch the AJ cheerleaders downplay this whole thing....a couple of weeks ago they were talking about how AJ don't need wilder cause he can fight fury...lolol
Yeah we can because Wilder has been knocked down by Harold Sconiers.
Wilder also doesn't have Klitschko's skills or the jab Klitschko set his right hands with. Nor does he hits harder than him. You can see his right hand coming from a mile away.
So I'm afraid your triangle theory is invalid.

I don't believe Fury. He is just a big bragger and a cherry picker now. he wants to cherry pick his way to a huge money fight with AJ and getting himself KOed by Wilder for a hell of a lot less money would spoil that. I can understand Fury not fighting a top 10 heavyweight in his first couple of comeback fights but his opponents have been terrible and complete cherry picks. When I hear Fury is fighting some guy I never heard of I see where boxrec rates the guy. Boxrec had his first comeback guy rated 69th at cruiserweight. The guy he fights next is rated 119th at heavyweight. So now I am supposed to believe Fury will go from fighting number 119 to fighting Wilder in the USA. I hope it is true. I would love a Wilder vs Fury fight to happen. Until i read on Boxing Scene Top Headlines that Fury is fighting Wilder I don't believe it. I think Fury will continue to cherry pick guys not even in the top 50.
Hopefully and thankfully Hearn just goes away
Maybe just for a few months
Just don’t wanna hear his bullchit
Need a fughin break
Mofo ‘s eyes r turning brown for how full of chit he is
I recall when Brits hated his guts and were first to call him out
