For everyone talking about how Mikey looked soft in the weigh-in. Stop it. When has he NOT looked soft at a weigh in? Dude is never ripped.
But he does rip-ass when he gets in that ring. Know that.
Listen, I been following EB since before his first national TV appearance. I'm a fan. He's a good champion. I respect him for stepping up...but he already knows what's happening tomorrow. He's giving up them belts. He and a bunch a people are gonna find out tomorrow (around the 5th round) that the hype is real.
mikey makes weight but seems to lack a proper diet, this is why he starves himself and forces himself to throw up in elevators, all due respect. Dude needs to transition from tamales to grilled chicken, his body will look a lot better
Exactly. He needs to eat better and 135 should be perfect for him.
He's too small to fight at 147. Even at 140 I think he is small. If Easter rehydrates a lot he will have a nice size advantage tomorrow
Garcia is a solid pro, he knows what is needed and is always prepared.
Just because he doesn't post himself benching 200lbs on instagram doesn't mean he is not an elite athlete.

Donaire in his prime look soft as well. But maybe its a bad example?
Mikey is a damn good champion who has never lost or been in a real close fight. He fights strong competition and avoids nobody. Easter is a brave champion willing to fight the best. He just isn't that good at the world champion level and I think Mikey easily beats him. Mikey trains hard and is always in top shape for any fight. As you say he just doesn't get as ripped as some other boxers do.
Yes, I believe HBO showed something about him throwing up in an elevator during one of his fights at 130
That's crazy, but not shocking. I think he also usually eats pizza before his fights...

Is this true? I remember he looked more defined when Robert Garcia brought in Ariza, but that didn't last long
