We'll see. So far DAZN hasn't been offering much more than what the other networks are offering. The offers to Broner, Spence, Charlos, etc. are all about the same as what they are currently making. Not once has DAZN offered one fighter $5 million, let alone both fighters $5-7M.
"Monster" PPV-quality shows must mean something different to Hearn than it does to me.
Crawford vs. Postol is not a "monster PPV quality show."
GGG vs. Lemieux is not a "monster PPV quality show."
Those weren't even close to PPV quality.
Lets see what Hearn does. Supposedly he is willing to offer Wilder 7-8 million to fight on DAZN. That is something SHO is definitely not paying him. Time will tell if he is ever able to sign big name fighters. But there is a reason he preferred Wilder/Joshua to take place in 2019 and why he wanted Joshua to kick off the DAZN launch.
Well, I actually mentioned that in my thread I made about Hearn. That a lot of the good fights are already on regular networks, and some even airing on terrestrial television like Garcia vs Thurman or Porter vs Thurman. Maybe he means he could put together a card with fights like Crawford vs Postol as the co-main and GGG vs Lemieux as the main event?
In reality, there just aren't many PPVs in the states anymore. It only involves Canelo and/or Golovkin depending on the opponent. So instantly that was a flaw from his initial statement.
Because DAZN can put together fights where you have two fighters making 5-7 million each. A network isn't going to be able to put that up. But say a fighter is going to make 10+ million and his opponent is going to make similar? Then DAZN just can't match that.

Hearn used Kovalev vs Ward as an example of a fight that was on PPV but could be put on DAZN. Same with Crawford vs Postol or GGG vs Lemieux.

Doubt itll happen whilst Golovkin is still contracted to HBO. Think Jacobs has one fight left on his HBO deal. Could see Jacobs and Golovkin going to DAZN, could see the whole lot ****ing off HBO tbh. Just Golden Boy left over there.
Well yeah, but not sure how many more fights Golovkin has with HBO. They weren't even going to air his fight against Vanes until ESPN made a bid for it and then some how they came up the money they needed to put it on regular HBO.
No venue though?
Hearn's a busy guy man, think hes got 6 events in 6 weeks in that period, on both sides of the pond. Pretty ridiculous thing to try and pull off
I do wonder if Andrade or Jacobs get in line to fight Golovkin, and Golovkin's deal is up, will DAZN possibly be able to put that fight on their service? I mean not like Andrade vs Golovkin is going to be a MASSIVE event, but one Golovkin will still want to get paid handsomely for. I think Golovkin's deal with HBO will be up soon. I know ESPN put out an offer for Golovkin/Vanes a few months back.
Fair to say if Golovkin beats Canelo, his days on regular HBO are over with.

LOL, said the exact same things. But yeah, youre right

Canelo will want 15 million to fight a guy like Andrade, something DAZN will not be able to give him. And he just isn't fighting on a streaming service.
Hearn used Kovalev vs Ward as an example of a fight that was on PPV but could be put on DAZN. Same with Crawford vs Postol or GGG vs Lemieux.
Hopefully this makes sense.

So if Eddie is going to let the really good fights go to PPV, then how is he going to put on "monster" PPV-quality events on DAZN? Where do you think those will come from? They are events that would otherwise be PPVs.
Different levels of PPV. DAZN wouldnt be able to put a Canelo PPV on there, or Joshua/Wilder. But PPVs like
Ward/Kovalev
Golovkin/Jacobs
Crawford/Postol
Those kind of PPVs could be put on DAZN. Just not the massive million plus buys ones

LOL you did all that without reading? I NEVER SAID DAZN WILL PUT ON PPVS. But Hearn said himself there are certain fights that will be on PPV because they will make more money there than on DAZN. So if Wilder/Joshua take place in the states, it will be on PPV, not on DAZN. If Joshua would have agreed to Wilder's $50 million offer, you think DAZN puts that fight on? Haaaaa!

Wrong wrong wrong. DAZN has definitely said they are eliminating PPV and putting all the best fights on DAZN:
"More importantly, DAZN will not reserve its best matchups for PPV, premium cable TV or higher-priced packages....Skipper mentioned DAZN is "committed to including our best best fights in its subscription service...." Streaming giant DAZN aims to fix 'broken' PPV system for U.S. fight fans
EDDIE ACTUALLY SAID THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT YOU'RE SAYING:
"There will be no pay-per-view element on DAZN, Hearn says, “The aim here is 12 big fight nights and four absolute monsters,” said Hearn, who explained, “The monster nights signify the pay-per-view numbers – they just wont be pay-per-view."

How do you know Hearn will let them may I ask please?
he's said numerous times, one being when stood right next to vargas at the DAZN launch and using him as an example saying that if another network came in with an offer that exceeded what could be given to him by matchroom / Dazn for a fight, then Hearn wouldnt stand in his way of taking the higher offer and making more money to fight on that network for the fight.
No, Hearn never said he is trying to eliminate PPV. He even said some fights have to be on PPV as they wouldn't be able to match. You are out of your f'n mind if you think Canelo will fight on DAZN. Is that a sick joke? And if GGG beats Canelo in the rematch, I highly doubt he fights outside of PPV the rest of his career.

Bucktooth British clowns saying it is a good fight(Which it is), while at the same time claiming that Wilder-Fury is some sort of PR move.
If Fury was promoted by Hearn these Hearn/DEEZ NUTS dick suckers would be singing a different tune.
Glad this fight is happening though.
Those Gypsies aren't sissies... Like Anthony Joshua....
Ummmm, no. DAZN business plan is put all the big fights on the DAZN service. They explicitly said they are trying to eliminate PPV, so they're not letting fighters leave for PPV fights.

Buddy, Andrade vs Canelo would be PPV so DAZN exclusive contract is irrelevant. Hearn said he will let his fighters fight on PPV as they would make more money there than with DAZN. Now, against GGG would that be PPV? Something tells me GGG isn't fighting Andrade for regular HBO money. If GGG beats Canelo, you could bet he's fighting on PPV from here on out. So yes, both fights are possible, as is the fight with Jacobs if he is to beat Derevyanchenko.

Sorry for nit picking but I think Andrade is a top 6 middleweight at best. GGG, Canelo, Saunders, Jacobs and Jermall should all be ranked higher than him in my opinion and maybe a couple of others as well. He only has one win at middleweight and that guy stunk even worse than Jermall's two middleweight opponents. At least Jermall KOed his two lousy middleweights quickly.
That's fine, say top 6, but I think he will prove to be one of the absolute best at MW when it is all said and done. None of these guys will go undefeated if they fought in a round robin. I think Andrade will beat BJS, but it hasn't happened yet so fair to rate BJS higher.
Very good division now that hopefully will have one King when it is all over.
No surprise and I love it. This is a quality quality match up. Two top 5 MWs going at it. Winner has to be in play for the GGG/Canelo winner.
I'm going with Andrade in a close decision, but this is pretty much a pick-em.Sorry for nit picking but I think Andrade is a top 6 middleweight at best.
