My first impression is Holyfield and a lot what you write here makes sense. I’d really need to go back and watch more Holyfield.
I do think it would be an excellent fight.
This is what you need to know about Holyfield. He would be throwing with Usyk not waiting. He would be throwing significant punches while Usyk is throwing the throw away punches he uses to disrupt his opponents. Holyfield was probably going through his physical prime while he was at CW. I wont say with 100% certainty that Holyfield beats Usyk but If someone handed me $100 bill and said you have to bet on one of them my money is on Holyfield. I do encourage you to watch every fight you can of Holyfields, people remeber him now for staying too long and losing alot late in his career. He was a fckn warrior in his youth and one of the best we have ever seen.
Uh, different as night and day. Joe Frazier got bounced off the canvas by a 6'3-6'4 220lb George Foreman. AJ or either Klitchko would be waayy too big for Joe.
Holyfield is probably the best Cruiserweight we have ever seen or close to it. Usyk is as a bad a mfer you will find but Holyfield was a monster and he would bring it right to him. He wouldnt be waiting for one shot, he would be all in Usyk's ass all night.

There are people that think Smokey Joe Frazier would beat AJ/Klitchko so it wouldn't surprise me that people would think Holyfield would beat Usyk.

Doesn't matter how strong or tough you are. Skills pay the bills.
This isn’t about power uysk would just put on a boxing lesson and box circles around him
Nah man, a young evander you had to get his respect. I like Usyk, but that style would not work with him because evander was a good boxer too. And before you bring up Chris Byrd, Holyfield was old by then and Byrd has a little more pop on his punch than Usyk.
Actually this is more of an argument than Ward vs. Uysk.
He is the best Cruiserweight I've seen since Real Deal. I still would take Real Deal, that heart.
You don't remember Jirov, Gomez, or Mormeck????
Uruk certainly doesn’t hit like Riddick Bowe, Ray Mercer, Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson, Dwight Braxton , Michael Dokes, so Relax folks everyone of those guys could Hit and and I saw Holyfield take shots from Ray Mercer from about 45 feet away that looked like Evander would land on the Atlantic City boardwalk, and he ate them up like a piece of candy.
And that’s that

I’ve said this many times in past posts, Evander was legendary at being able to hold his ground where he is standing and be able to punch back, that is not easy to do, it takes a certain fighter to be able to do that. Evander in his prime almost always gave up size and reach, he needed to be able to fight like that to survive. I favor him against most fighters in Heavyweight history
I feel like he would just box circles around evander.
Winning on points, evander was a close up fighter who needed to close distance
Evander had a good jab and knew how to use it. He had better power than Uysk and tremendous stamina. Legendary heart. No Uysk wouldn't box circles around him. It would be a heck of an interesting fight.
Uysk is a hell of a fighter but don't let the the performance against Gassiev who is limited make you think a fight against an all time great like Holyfield would look anything similar to what we saw today.
