Aj's stock is dropping fastafter asking for then rejecting 50million. Aj is just a fade, here today gone tomorrow cuz he won't last as long as Nelo has.
Well, i somewhat agree. once AJ loses, he will lose a huge part of his fanbase. Almost all of it..
His next 2 fights alone will do around 190,000 tickets. His stock is the same as ever in the UK but 95% of his fanbase are people that don't care about boxing at all, they just go because it's a popular event. They wouldn't know Wilder or Povetkin from anyone else.
Wembley won't be sold out in September because Povetkin is fighting. It's selling out because it's an AJ event.
That's not really a good thing for boxing in general though. He's at a point now where he can make 8 figure paydays staying at home and fighting anybody. There's hardly no incentive to go elsewhere or fight guys like Wilder.
That said, Canelo's stock has dropped a fair bit in the last year. even some of his fan's boo'd him after the gift draw. Then the whole dirty test thing. GGG v Canelo will still be a big fight, it always will be, but i'd imagine a lot of interest this time will be to see if GGG gets justice.
Wishing what?
I'm not an AJ fan. I'm openly supporting Povetkin or Wilder to knock him clean out :)
According to Forbes (if you trust their accuracy), Canelo's net worth is just $5m more than AJ's, despite being active for much longer. So going by the rate that they're earning, I'd imagine by the end of this year or next year definitely, AJ will have made more. So that's out of the window.
I guess when you consistently sell out 90,000 stadiums and around 1m PPV's regardless of opponent, your net worth shoots up quickly. He is the draw and will surpass Canelo due to Canelo needing other big names to help him draw big numbers, as his drop in numbers proves against lesser names...

Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali are the faces of boxing.
None of the current or yesteryears fighters come close to their popularity even now when Mike is retired and Ali is dead.
AJ and Canelo might be boxing's biggest stars. But in this day of age it doesn't mean much as boxing isn't very popular worldwide.
Floyd Mayweather Towers over Ali & Tyson.:439:
Agreed
Joshau is the biggest star by a mile
By 21 fights he had 4 world
Titles
He’s got the wbc champ so terrified that he is scared to meet him face to face even when Joshua comes to the USA
Saul Alvarez is the biggest star by a mile.:439:
Nelo is known more & has made more than Aj. Keep wishing though.

That nobody watched apart from hardcore boxing fans because they were on subscription channel BoxNation. Those fights did very low number of viewers here in the UK. even his fight with Floyd didn't do big numbers due to it being on BoxNation, but that's how it goes with niche subscription channels like BoxNation.
Nobody is denying he does pretty good numbers but he is not synonymous with boxing when you ask sports fans around the world about boxing.
Unless you truly follow the sport, Canelo is basically unknown and has no real crossover appeal. Don't believe HBO, they have been desperate for a face of boxing and superstar since Floyd left them and Manny was no longer the fighter he once was. Canelo isn't a superstar, he's just the biggest active name in boxing in USA/Mexico right now, but that doesn't mean much in the current climate.
And asia cuz of the pathetic lil g fans….LMMFAO!
There is no "face of boxing" in my opinion - Neither AJ or Canelo are known much outside of their respective countries/where they fight. In terms of active fighters, Pacquiao is still arguably more a "face of boxing" than both AJ and Canelo when it comes to actual worldwide appeal and crossover appeal. He's recognised the world over.
Canelo, the guy who's PPV sales drop by about 60% when he hasn't got a big name to face? the guy who's tickets v the likes of Kirkland and Smith go for $10 on the day of the fight because they can't sell them? that's not a face of boxing, no way. Imagine getting tickets for a Floyd or Manny fight for $10 when they were the faces of boxing? lol, never going to happen
AJ is incredibly consistent with high PPV sales and selling out stadium after stadium fight. Not known outside of the UK though.
Anyway, back on topic. Wilder's popularity is not a patch on Joshua and doesn't deserves anything close to 50%.

Great Post. AJ is massive in the UK and is undoubtedly the face of boxing here, but the sport doesn't have a Mayweather anymore unfortunately.
AJ and Canelo are obviously the faces of boxing.
GGG deserves an honourable mention as well.
But other guys like Wilder have some clout too and we shouldn't discount them just because they make chump change and aren't as big!!

He is the biggest boxing name period for a boxer who is still currently fighting .
Naw. Not setting apart time on a Saturday afternoon for that. I'll check out what's going on on Twitter
You'll definitely watch that fight lol. No doubt about it. It'll be a great night lol, sold out arena people cheering, great atmosphere. Not like those pathetic American cards where the atmosphere is dull and the place is half empty.
Who the **** is Wilder to say what he should or should not do?AJ is not the face of boxing. No one boxer is the face of boxing. It's a stupid expression. Boxing is made up of lots of boxers and fights, not one boxer who fights twice a year. Wilder can say whatever he likes in regards to what AJ should or should not do. AJ can do the same in regards to Wilder. They are just two boxers talking about fighting each other FFS. AJ isn't this god you seem to have elevated him up to.

The way they see it it's USA vs England...I'm European and not a fan of either man but it's clear as day that Wilder wants to fight but at the same time he can not fight for free. The Brits believe everything they're fed from Hearn. Joshua's best win is against 41 year old Klitschko who btw nearly knocked him out..since then it's been bum after bum. The funny thing is they already started to promote miller vs joshua with that staged bull**** confrontation. You'll see after povetkin it's miller..
That confrontation was definitely set up by Hearn i believe to either pressure Wilder into signing for a crap deal or to use this guy as an excuse to duck Wilder if he won't sign.
BTW I'm from Australia so i dont have any nationalistic bias.
