He has been proven, not so good. A monkey would've brought Pacquiao to the top of the sport, with that talent.
Freddy has been on the slide for a long time and even now, it seems like tactics are out the window.
Pac is already a rare gem from the start that just needs some polishing, which was basically the job of Roach. It does not mean other trainers cannot do the same to pacquiao. Roach improved pacquiao but he cannot make a boxer like Pacquiao.
That's excactly my point. Freddy is 58 now and had a good run fight with Cotto, but still not on par with the best of the best. I think it's time for Freddy to call it a day, because he have had problems adapting to other fighters. He tries to make them emulate Pac or doesn't seemed too concerned with the fighter, if it's a lesser one.
"some stuff"
So just anybody wuda had success...yea at just winning any ol fight. But not moving up and counter punching dudes to death. Its to the point where Manny can outbox alot of dudes now.
I wouldn't credit Roach for the fact that Pac is a genetic monster. Again a case of giving Roach all the accolades, and not Pac - Who is the deserving one.
Pac under Buboy is doing better.

Ok he taught Pac some stuff, but Pac was such a talent by himself, it didn't really matter too much. Freddy pushed him though, and that's good. But Pac had Freddy because Freddy let's fighters work themselves more or less, small insights which is not bad.
But with any other fighter since prime Pac, he has been trying to make them do the same things as Pac - Which is really bad.

Pacquiao just said in a boxing scene top headline that he might have Roach train him for his next fight so clearly Pacquiao does not think Roach should retire. Trainers can continue to be great trainers into their 70s. They don't need to be strong or fit themselves to get their fighters ready.Experience and intelligence and excellence at their job does the trick.
well, didnt you guys complain for years that roach couldnt even teach pac to avoid the right hand??? didnt yall said roach didnt even teach pac to cut off the ring??
Both remain true
umm lets see his 20+ years in training? his health?
you were not shy about telling pac to hang it up and you're here asking base on what for freddie?
Seems like this thread is acting like he didnt teach Manny anything
Who are to say what another man who you don't even know must do?
Who have you trained?
Where is your gym?
What are your credentials in the sport?
Don't bother answering I already know, you know NOTHING!
