Is Manny still an elite fighter?

If he's still winning belts then i say definitely. Even though its pointless i would love to see Pac-Horn 2 i enjoying Horn catching @ss whoopins.

Pac beats Thurman. Spence and Crawford, at this point in Pac's career. I highly doubt he can handle this 2. And if he did step up against Spence and Crawford, and If ever he does win it against any of this 2. Pac will be battered and bruised to the very end, a total war, and will be nursing that bruise even after the fight. Not sure I want to see Pac get damaged in the final stages of his career. I just want a fan friendly fight for him as a farewell tour. Thurman, Broner, Khan, Loma. All winnable fights for Pac. Out of all those names mentioned I don’t see PED-Man beating any one but Broner without his shakes and injections, and even then I’m not convinced he’d beat those guys. He should never have stopped juicing and he’d have looked like he did Saturday night against Horn.

When is the last time he fought at 140 ? guy walks around 150 so 147 is his class. He was eating a steak before weigh ins. Pretty sure he could make 140.

You know if he did fight Crawford thou and got the split this forum would proceed to call Crawford overrated. Every fighter mentioned on this forum is either overrated, cherry picker, bum, etc. So that wouldn't surprise me

They can be past it and still beat the guys considered decent but not elite or with too much skill or ring intelligence. Hopkins went on a decent run beating guys like Pascal and Shumenov and Cloud but neither of those guys were really THAT good. You saw that when Hopkins faced someone with good skills and a decent boxing IQ in Dawson, he lost. Again with Kovalev, he lost. Pac is an ATG and nowhere near his prime, but still good enough to beat the Matthyssee's of the world and Brandon Rios'. You put him in with a Crawford or someone like that and you'll see just how far he's slipped if you can't tell already. Why at 147? That's too much for him he should stay at 140. It's not like he's a big guy. When is the last time he fought at 140 ? guy walks around 150 so 147 is his class.

It's a tricky question. I voted no but in hindsight I think he can hang with the less talented crop at 147lbs. Someone like Garcia lets say who doesn't have really any special talents besides a nasty hook. Mmm, maybe if Thurman came right back without a tune up and fought Pac immediately and just looks rusty as hell, Pac can pull it based on his experience and degree of still able to put a strategy together. Spence and Crawford would put a beat down on Pac. They have the toughness to hang with him and Pac's age will show itself when it matters in those fights.

the same ppl who say hes elite now were saying he was an ancient fossil vs Horn. and they also act like you're wishing death upon him by suggesting he face Crawford. stay consistent. if he is indeed elite then he should face Crawford or Spence next. no excuses.

No he is not. But he is still capable of making big fights with today's top tier fighters and remain competitive. Outside of Spence and Crawford, the rest of 140/147 are 50/50 fights. Talent has watered down some in last decade.

He needs to retire after this solid win. He will probably lose if he steps up to fight those top guys Yea this feels like his Jeff Lacy/Tito fight as it was for Roy..Now he feels he is back and some others do as well...This will end badly

No, he isn't because he is at the tail end of his illustrious career. He has too much mileage on him; Twenty three years to be exact. In addition, he is past his prime. He still could fight though but yet still limited due to time.

no. Manny was always levels above Lucas when they weren't shot and he still is as faded fighters. That's all it is. Right now he's a year older than the version that struggled with Horn. even if you thought Manny won, does it matter? if Manny wasn't faded, he would have smashed Horn to pieces. People who are saying Pac is too small for welter, get real. He's pretty big. Did you see him last night? He can fight at 154. I'd bet you Pac can't make 140 healthy. Don't kid yourselves.
