Well, the fight didn't happen did it?
Funniest part was Klitsch and Wilder share the same manager.
It would have happened a long time ago.
Especially when Klitsch wanted so much to fight in the US.
do u remember klits saying wilder has to fight better competition b4 they fight? what does klits have to do with anything anyway?
What?! Klitschko is exactly why Joshua's A side position was cemented.
Wilder ducked Klitschko. Meaning, ducking have consequences.
It's shameful.
And what is the relevance of $50 mil now, tell me.
AJ opted to turn it down in favor of having the fight in the UK.
Explain to me what's wrong with that?
As opposed to the B side, who is currently making less than $2 mil,
having a shot at multiple titles,
and turning down $15 mil.
fury already beat klits, it was a decent win but much overated around here. im not sure what it has to do with aj turning down 50 million AFTER HE ASKED FOR IT. and making all these road blocks (fight whyte first, 50 mill, in the uk, flat rate, proof of funds, etc). as a fan you should just want to see the fight, who makes what is of no importance. hearn never wanted this fight next, without hearn aj would have took the 50mil and the fight would be signed, i dont thin aj is scared but hes clearly been silenced by hearn since he said GIVE ME 50mil. the contract hearn sent had no date, showtime wasnt in the picture, hearn wanted control of the ref and the judges and only a rematch if AJ loses, would you sign that? BE HONEST AND FAIR... would u? please stop bringing up wilder only making 2mil. lets focus on aj wilder NOW and how hearn ducked this fight for business reasons and you fans are defending it as if business benefits you as a fan.

Just because a fight you want to happen didn't happen doesn't mean it is a duck.
A duck needs a legit and objectively fair verified offer being turned down.
That's not what happened between Wlad and Deontay.
Not as disgusting as latching on to that single statement from Finkel as "proof" Wilder ducked.
Try this one, made Nov. 10, 2015 (about 3 weeks before Fury's upset win):
"If it was tomorrow, I could beat him," Wilder recently told Forbes. "I've improved so much since 2012, and he's declining. He's getting older. He's not going to be the same as he was. We know each other, and I know how to beat him. I know what it takes. He doesn't have as much energy as I do. I'm the toughest, the strongest and the fastest heavyweight he's faced."

You need to post something more than Finkel's statement because if it is about what folks say, then you should be listening to Wilder himself.
Wlad was on Deontay's menu almost immediately after he won his belt. Here's postfight comments by Wilder right after the first Stiverne fight:

Finkel: "My baby Deontay won't be rushed to fight Klitschko."
Finkel was talking as if Klitsch was in his prime.
Kills me.

A Klitschko that hadn't fought for 1 and a half years, coming off a loss that was one of the most boring fights on history, and who hadn't looked like himself in over 2 and a half years didn't cement anything.

Wilder did not duck Wlad, Wlad chose AJ INSTEAD OF Wilder because in his opinion it was an easier fight that paid more. And BTW, he was right. Folks always point to the statements Finkel made after Wilder won his belt as indicative of Wilder ducking, while ignoring EVERYTHING that came out of Wilder and his camp afterwards.
The 50M is relevant because it is the largest verified purse ever turned down in the history of the sport.
The 50M is relevant because it was still on the table up until about 36 hours ago.
The 50M is relevant because AJ and Hearn turned it down while simultaneously considering a US fight vs Big Baby.
And finally, the 50M is relevant not because AJ turned it down to fight at home, but because he turned it down to fight in the UK against SOMEONE ELSE.
There was never any serious intent to fight Wilder and the offers themselves AND the way Matchroom did the "now you see me, now you don't" style of negotiation bear witness to that.
AJ can continue to make his 15 to 20 million fighting stiffs.
I suspect he and Hearn will learn about an economic principle called "The Law of Diminishing Returns"
Shame too.
Sometimes, protecting a guy too much can keep him from becoming the great fighter he was supposed to be...
what exactly does that have to do with aj turning down 50mil?

AJ readily fought and beat Klitschko.
Wilder avoided Wlad like a plague.
Go figure who is the real duck.
what exactly does that have to do with aj turning down 50mil?
You’re not a true boxing fan it’s as simple as that.
Klitschko was ten times more popular than this Wilder personality.
Yet we never heard any single negotiation detail about his fight with Joshua.
Fight just happened.
Not with this Deontay clown, who the media didn't even recognize when he went to the white house.
That's why I;ve been so perpetually pissed at this Klitschko ducker.
And I have yet to see karma befall (boxing-related) on this undeserving clown.
Here are the poison pills @EddieHearn put in the @anthonyfjoshua-@BronzeBomber contract.1) Rematch clause, but only if wilder wins.2) British commission exclusively chooses officials.3) No date given.4) No venue given. They didn't want the fight to happen.— Deontay Wilder News (@BrnzBomberNews) June 27, 2018
Green K sent...
It's pretty sad. 15 million and the undisputed title on the line and he says no. Wilder is delusional . I don't how people can support this kind of ducking.
It's terrible.
Have never seen anything like it.
A B side with so little accomplishments demands so much.
A chance to be king in the division no longer mean anything.
Who's next the Charlo sisters? Line up bums, then demand big fights?
Finkel: "Deontay will not be rushed to fight Klitschko."
It's infuriating.
That's not a duck, we knew it wasn't the next fight SINCE MARCH ...Hearn said it right after AJ vs Parker
Specifically said there's about one more fight to make before having one against Wilder.
And here we are ..Povetkin is next and than Wilder.
What is the issue exactly?
Everyone would be ok with this if they were honest. But they throwed a low-ball offer to save face and it backfired. Now they have to pay for it, but some fanboys still defend them (I'm not accusing you)
AJ readily fought and beat Klitschko.
Wilder avoided Wlad like a plague.
Go figure who is the real duck.
Yea...AJ readily fought and beat a 41 year old man, coming off a loss and a 2 year layoff.
No surprise you cowards continue to hype that win, considering the guy you root for.
Joshua would most likely make $30 mil minimum in the Povetkin fight.
Wilder would surely make less than $2 mil in the Breazeale fight.
Guess who is crying now that the AJ vs Wilder didn't materialize?
Why do you clowns make simple things so complicated?
Delusional guy you are. Life is not all about money. Wilder is fine making his $2 mil and keeping his integrity than the juicer. You are the one more concerned about whether Wilder makes that or does not. Get some help!
It's indeed beyond shameful.
All Deontay had to do is sign the contract and he'll get his shot at multiple titles.
It's pretty sad. 15 million and the undisputed title on the line and he says no. Wilder is delusional . I don't how people can support this kind of ducking.
Oh I get it.
Let's just act like the last 2 or 3 months never happened.
There was progress but we've seen this many times already.
Let's act like Hearn and AJ didn't run around saying Wilder was next.
Wilder said Breazeale or Kownacki was next (lets not forget that) until Team Wilder switched gear.
Let's act like the whole farce never took place.
It's a farce to the fans yes.
Let's ignore all those videos of Hearn saying it is next.
(Let's see all the videos where Finkel or Jay Deas or Haymon said it was next, i'll wait)
Cool...
You're here blaming Hearn/Joshua only but would you trust a Team that let their fighter talk but they don't? When's the last time you saw Finkel or Jay Deas or Haymon(never) on camera to talk about anything?
They hide behind radio shows (rarely) or boxing articles.
Both sides are BS'ing.
