Barry said it’s to early for Wilder fight, I think it’s to early for Povetkin too

Alexander is almost 40 but he is a well preserved 40. He has not had too many wars or hard fights, has that killer instinct also and isn’t afraid to mix it up with a stellar resume. Granted if I was handing AJ I would pick in my mind what is the lesser evil also and that is fighting the Russian because Wilder looks to be in his prime. But yeah it’s a risky fight which makes it a great fight, I would rather of seen him fight Wilder but I will be excited for AJ fighting the Russian. Unless Alexander gets old overnight it’s still a great fight imo I agree. Povetkin is a very dangerous fighter indeed. There is a campaign under way by the Wilder fanboys to denigrate him as shot and over-the-hill - which is funny considering the way they hype old man Ortiz! But real boxing fans know better.

Joshua would easily win. Povetkin is flat-footed and slow with his best years well behind him now. He can still punch but Joshua has way more reach than him. The way this fight goes is that Joshua hammers him with the jab and straight right as he tries to come in until he's forced backwards towards the ropes or the corner. Once he's there Joshua steps in and blasts him with hooks to the body to finish him off.

??? Povetkin looked terrible his last 2 fights Signs of a declining fighter Price almost koed him. Actually the last full Povetkin fight I watched was when he fought Carlos, and I saw highlights of his last fight when he chined Price and he didn’t look that bad but I also didn’t see the whole fight. Not making excuses but maybe he wasn’t as motivated given the opponents, But I think Alexander will show up for this fight, if he didn’t get to old to pull the trigger that is

I'd rather take my shot that AJ could outbox Wilder, than Povetkin honestly. If Pedvedkin comes in juiced to the gills against AJ crazier shyt has happened. If he lost to Wilder at least he lost to the "other" best heavyweight and not just "A guy".

It's a perfect time for Povetkin. In fact, the dude is over the hill but still has the rep of being a killer so AJ will get a lot of credit, just like with the Wlad fight.

Povetkin definitely looked his age in the last 2 fights. Perfect time to get Povetkin for AJ. Nice name to have on the record, still only has 1 defeat which was to Wlad but shot enough to be beaten.

Povetkin looked shot against Price. Price just looked more shot. There are only 3 heavyweight fighters worth a damn right now: Wilder, Joshua, Ortiz.
