Was wondering what he was gonna do to salvage Windsor as it was looking increasingly like it would be impossible to make it a "historic" night with real worthy opponent, but putting Fury on the card. Subtle.
edit: inb4 Boxnation fan comes in talking in caps about lining up someone great lol.
I'm no Warren fan, just wasn't sure what he'd done in this instance. Take your point about booking the venue before sorting an opponent.
Yeah apologies was more general for this site than really aimed at you but that wasn't made clear at all. Thanks for explaining anyway though.
What he has done is spread himself to thin which results in noone winning. He took all 3 featherweights gave them all the same promise then put his eggs all in on warrington at the start of that week, read any of his press or listen to the interviews from before and after. Warrington did him no favours, but it's still warrens fault as he locked in the date. Windsor is annoying to get. It isn't as easy as just shifting the date. Most fans who follow schedules knew all the "names" would be out of the question for that date. It;s been an open secret. Multiple Irish boxers/journos have commented on there was no way he could do what he promised when signing him. Ohwell, I am amazed at the fact promoters have fans the same way the fighters do on this website. There's a reason one of his own boxers shot him lol

Wouldn't they rather control and maximise the exposure from the announcement via a press conference? Jo Jo Diaz was another name I saw mentioned, not sure if that's viable in the time available?
I don't get exactly what Warren has done wrong here? Timing and injury means that none of the belt holders are available.
I'd thought that Selby was up for the Belfast date if the Warrington fight ended quickly in his favour? Selby chose to take the Leeds fight and really has only himself to blame for how poorly he performed.
Warrington was rightly looking after his own interests in swiftly shutting down the Belfast date. I'm sure there will be a suspicion that Warren was happy for this to happen as he gets longer with another big domestic draw, but there's no way of proving this. In any case he's just finished a 12 week camp and the fight was a tough one. It's fair enough in my view to demand a decent rest period before his first defence.

Its meant to be his greatest night, his historic night. How can he be the main attraction when you have Fury on the card.
Depends - if Fury fights another guy on the level of Seferi then Frampton's fight will still be the main attraction if he's fighting anyone with a pulse.
Sorry I missed this first time round, thanks. Wouldn't surprise me at all. Also on twitter Frampton has been intimating that the opponents already settled. If it is and they haven't announced it's revealing.

It's not a big Stadium if you think adding Fury adds any money you have no idea what you are talking about. Full is full. Premium tickets are already premium. Fury has a bit of a base here yes but Frampton will have the place filled out already.
Well Selby lost. The fight was supposed to be against Selby. Had to add Fury because Selby is off the card
Warrens article after is a good read and really eye opening for showing how much it really wasn't meant to be Selby. He put his eggs in Warringstons basket as he wants a Stadium fight to compete with Hearn. Same way he wanted to make an event and that was all he cared about, hence the football firms being involved etc and noone batting at eye. I understand a lot of this people don't notice but Warren has actually been very open surprisingly so. Too confident.
Because if you knew anything about the situation or the boxer really you would know it will be full anyway and its about his career not about popularity. Anyway my guess is they will try to get Rigo, can't get anyone else really to even come close to what Frampton wanted when he took the contract. He can't make weight for WBS doctor said no so it makes sense and finally settles on the Jackal name. And Selby would have even been a downgrade from what Frampton actually wants. He will never get what he wanted for Windsor which is LSC. but at this rate he will get a nobody.
And the comment about fight fans are weird is odd as I am actually a fan of fight and the fighters but not promoters who lie and screw people. If you actually knew anything about the Warren relationship with Selby and Warrington or even listened to frank or read his articles before and after you would know Selby was never getting that win or going to Belfast. Warrington screwed Frank by ducking out of it on air straight after fight. Selby also fought the wrong fight so made it easy for them but that was all stacked against him, BY WARREN lol.
Screwed him? How? By shooting his ticket sales, tv ratings and general interest through the roof with Fury on the undercard? :lol1:
Fight fans are weird
