Is Terrance Crawford being promoted correctly? This is a 4star fight and it is barely being promoted or talked about. He should be one of boxing biggest stars and fighting on network television. TopRank has him fighting on ESPN+ which will not do him any good. Lomachenko fought on ESPN I don’t see what would be the positive outcome of TC fighting on the ESPN app.
Their has been multiple fighters accuse Arum of not knowing how to promote in the urban markets. Do you think Arum and TopRank need to re-evaluate the way they promote in the urban markets? Will Terrance Crawford join a list of elite boxers like Oscar, Floyd, Mikey, Cotto, JCCjr who left Arum on a bad note?

What do you mean when you say Bud is not marketable?
If being marketable means talking dumb stuff like Broner, then I'd better pay for fighters like Crawford.
And you think Haymon fighters are promoted properly?
How come none of them has any PPV potential?
Who mentioned Haymon? If Haymon put a Keith Thurman fight on an app that has less than 500k subscribers then this thread would be about him..Thurman, Wilder, Davis all have PPV potential
And you think Haymon fighters are promoted properly?
As of late nope..
Any more questions?
once again i can tell you've never had to use your brain to make a dollar. Successful people make mistakes & adapt. If you've ever been successful you've made mistakes.
That’s an Arum fanboy..you’re wasting your time with a troll bro. Just ignore
these days? man it's capitalism at work baby. American as apple pie.
I don't pay for ESPN :fu2: but I have access to the app via my Fire TV gadget.
if the boxing content is suitable to me, I don't mind paying $5 for the ESPN+. I pay $10/mo for Showtime, and $10/mo for HBO as well.
its increasingly easier to divvy up your cable tv packages in the US. I pay $110/mo total for cable and internet (including the SHO/HBO subs).
Since HBO won't have any fights in the month of June and July, I cancel the sub and resub in August when they have a fight. Takes me a few minutes to do.
It's getting worse. I especially love the bs where an entity allows you to set up online payments. It saves both sides time, yet they charge the customer a "convenience fee".
You really a dumb ass. PPV is the same as watching it on ESPN. The only difference is you have to pay for it. ESPN+ you gotta download the app, register, log in, buy an hdmi converter for your phone if you want to watch it on your TV or by a chromecast or apple TV or whatever way you figure out how to watch it on TV.
This is boxing not football or basketball. People aren't about to go thru all those extra steps to watch the fight. Only us boxing fans will do that.
Once again you're missing the point and I can tell you've never had to use your brain to make a dollar
If I'm not mistaken it should be available through your TV if you have a smart TV that supports apps. Still all of this shyt is unnecessary to watch a boxing match.
He did ok at first by putting him in Omaha and had the HBO and later ESPN machine behind him. This ESPN app **** is a horrible move though. Hardcore boxing fans may even pass on watching it.
That's exactly right and it's a shame. These days, it's about fleecing people out of their cash any way possible. They nickel and dime you to death, hoping you don't catch on.

go and check a few pages back, a poster actually brought arum up, that's why i responded with that.
Oh I thought you were referring to me. I couldn’t care less who is responsible for putting it on the app it could be Muhammad Ali himself and I’d still say it was a stupid idea. So you like the app? Is the streaming quality HD?
Valid point bolded. Most people don't have a streaming device plugged up to their tv. you need one (or a smart tv) to use ESPN app on your tv.
I was discussing the weekend fights with my buddy at work, he's mid 50s and old school. Cats in that demographic have limited interest in jumping through those hurdles, let alone for a boxing fight.
to us millennials, this stuff is 2nd nature, we (and the younger gen) are the target market for ESPN+

wow, it bother you this much that you came back and re-quote me when i thought this convo is over?
we get it, your not getting the app, have fun playing solitaire.
Nah, I'm just having fun. Enjoy yourself, bro. :beerchug:

I just seen the hdmi adapter about 60 bucks for a good one at Best Buy. What happens when my phone rings or I get a text message lol? Nobody got time for that. He should have put it on the app and regular cable
What? now the Crawford vs Horn fight jumps up to early 2000s PPV price!?
Just keep WINNING should be the primary Focus! Don't "CHASE" anything let it happen naturally if it is meant to happen. Crawford makes great money and is already considered one of the best P4P Fighters in the world WTF more does he have to do. Trash talking won't do much!
Also in the US, boxing is just not that Popular as a whole. People tune in for certain fighters but the sports as a whole NOBODY CARES besides Hardcore Boxing Fans and it is not many of those in the US at least

Oh I thought you were referring to me lol I’m like idc who is responsible, it could be Muhammad Ali himself and I’d still say it was a stupid idea. This will be my first time streaming from an app so I’ll see how it goes. It may not be that bad after all
People keep ignoring that. I just wanna call my friends and tell them to watch the fight on ESPN. Nobody about to hooking up wires and all that just to watch the fight. They don't do that for any other sport
