Whatever happens happens. I want Golovkin to move on if they can't get this settled in the next few weeks. As for Canelo, well I'm done with him. I was not a fan but never rooted against or disliked him. I'm pretty much in that camp now. I will root against him whoever he fights.
To be honest, I think it would be wise for Canelo to stay away from Jacobs and Charlo. Tall, rangy, HUGE, smart, powerful, agile, long, athletic boxers will have Canelo looking bad.
The way to redeem himself was to submit himself to year round random testing, which I think he did, and throw GGG a bone during negotiations for his epic fook up that ruined the May fight. I'm not saying GGG deserves 50/50, but they should give him more than 35%.
If Canelo fights Jacobs next it shows he's confident in his ability to mix it up with any of the top dogs at 160, but I personally think he should go for Saunders in order to make the GGG fight even bigger. Either way, that's not the way to redeem himself, I think these are two different things that don't correlate in the redeeming spectrum IMO.
we always had ppv parties on may and september and some other times when there were good fights, lots of food and drinks, a few fans with our families, may went by we didn't do shyt, looks like september will go by and if we don't get vanelo/ggg it will be probably another night of partying, booze and food, but I am not paying for any other fight on that date, matter of fact I am not paying for any canelo or ggg ppv unless they fight each other

Clearly they was building towards that when he fought on ESPN Before Ryan Garcia
:lol1: they really want to sell that ppv don't they?
Well here's how things go, good or bad, in most talks.
When it works:
Person A: 65/35
Person B: 50/50
Person A: 60/40
Person B: 45/55
Person A: 58/42
Person B: 42/58 agreed
*both shake the others hand*
When it doesn't work:
Person A: 65/35
Person B: 50/50
Person A: 65/35
Person B: 50/50
Person A: 65/35
Person B: 50/50
*both look at the other guy like he's crazy*
When you got a guy saying one thing & sticking with it you gotta bend more or walk away. There is no obligation for both sides to agree on the value of each guy. And if you are the B side you are more likely to have to accept the value you can get vs demand the value you want, like it sounds like Tommy & GGG were doing. This is all basic day 1 type things in Fight Negotiations 101
Or the third scenario:
Person A: 65/35
Person B: 50/50
Person A: I'm done, I'm walking away. He doesn't want to fight.
Person B: Umm, I'm still willing to talk (negotiate).
But I have a feeling that Person B in this scenario even if they were willing to start going down from 50% that Person A would not be willing to go down beyond their original offer.
Person A does not seem to realize that the terms agreed to in May of 65/35 have changed. Their fighter who F'd up of the agreement and now has more to gain in making the fight should probably be a bit more flexible. I think reasonable people would agree when the facts are laid out. But that is their prerogative.

Redeemed for what? Sounds like this GGG vs Canelo thing was a sh^t storm on both sides so idk if Canelo or GGG are more at fault at this point.
It does seem like Canelo is more at fault for May 2018 not happening obviously, but then for Sept. 2018 or May 2019 its been a problem with GGG's side with not accepting the deal & holding out for a 50/50 deal which seems a bit much of an ask with asses in seats + gross revunue (- expenses).
Everyone keeps saying the 50/50 deal was final. I highly doubt it was. It was a starting point. But if DLH says nothing but 35/65, the same deal as May, they hold the cards. DLH apparently walked away. Now maybe that is his tactic to get Golovkin to give in. Still time here to make a deal. If I'm DLH I'd be willing to move to 60/40%. If I'm Golovkin I'm definitely willing to take 45% but probably no lower than 40%. 60/40% makes sense to me.
