Does anyone know if fights in London have curfews, ie if there are restrictions as to how late (or early) a card can run?
I'd hate for a Joshua-Wilder fight to air at 6pm EST.
have you seen v for vendetta? there is a curfew
Always liked V for vendetta - disturbingly plausible dystopian future if you ask me... Children of men too, for that matter.
Off on an almighty tangent I was at Formby beach on Wednesday and they were filming a drama series called Curfew looked like it could be pretty cool.

It would be on at the normal time that fights are on in the UK. Again, nobody in the US really knows or cares about Joshua or Wilder outside of hardcore boxing fans
Its already here. My wife can't leave the house without me.
And in London markets you get your hand chopped off for stealing.
Camels everywhere too.
Send for help.

Joke all you want, slowly but surely, I sure hope I'm wrong :beerchug:
Not yet.
But Sharia Law may be coming sooner than later in that country :beerchug:

It's a non starter. The local authority concerned have to approve the event. No way a massive stadium gig would be approved that caused massive noise pollution in the middle of the night and then deposited 90,000 people into London at that time with little or no transport.
Weekend 24 hr night tube now runs through Wembley Park station, so that’s something.
Still not sure they would allow it though but who knows.

Curfews?! Nope. But how many people would buy tickets if the fight commences at 5am?

I remember Calzaghe v Lacy was on at like 2am in Manchester for USA TV, so was Hatton v Tszyu. They were indoor events though.
I help organise some music festivals in London and there’s usually an outdoor noise Curfew from 11pm in the city. Not sure how it’d work for a sporting event though, the same I guess. I’m sure you can apply for an extension though.
Wouldnt be on PPV, be on Eddies dazzling new streaming app
Anyway why should we be the ones staying up til 4am, considering therell be more of us interested in the fight
Why would I want you to stay up until 4am? So I can get a fight night going at 11ish.
Why should AJ want you to stay up until 4am? So he can make more money (US PPV) in the short term and break into the North American market in the long-term.
That’s the problem with it being in England there is no ppv market in the US that early.
It's a balancing act I guess. Joshua is definitely the 'A' side and Wilder ain't that huge a draw even in the US so I can't see Hearn moving that far on the timing, but if shunting it back an hour or so might increase the US revenue significantly then he'd probably go for it. No way it happens at 2 or 3 of the a.m though. Joshua - Klitschko was at about 10pm BST and that's a decent guideline, although it may have catered to the European market by being a touch earlier than it could have been.

Huh? I don't think there's particularly a curfew or anything, although the police would probably be consulted for an event of this size, but we ain't gonna put on a massive live event in the middle of the night just so we can fit in with US scheduling. I'd expect 12 - 1 BST for the main event at the very latest and even that's probably pushing it.
