My sources are telling me he's going to reject the 50 mil offer from wilder, if this is the case he should be stripped and hailed as a disgrace!
A TRUE champion isn't just one who only fights in his own backyard, but a true WORLD champion is one who goes around the world and fights! Like Tyson Fury did!
AJ stay ducking
It's not redundant. The fact is, Wilder was headed to Russia to defend his belt (if he hadn't already arrived there), and his opponent failed a drug test, which killed the fight.
For you to even attempt to equate that to another guy REFUSING to fight anywhere besides his home country, is beyond me.
Anthony Johnson asked for 50 million, said he'd sign "tomorrow," his bluff got called, and now he's searching for every excuse to wiggle out of the fight. They should just come out and say they aren't interested. You fan boys will find a way to blame Wilder for every damn thing.
If you haven't already seen - I'm not an AJ fanboy... I can't stand the guy and I want Wilder to beat him.... but the truth is the truth.
I haven't said Wilder won't ever fight out of the US... I'm saying he clearly doesn't want the AJ fight in the UK.... that's the reality.... just as AJ doesn't want the fight in the US.
I'm saying they're both being divas about it... and one of them just needs to be the bigger man and concede if the fight will happen.
But okay... calling both fighters out for not wanting to fight each other in their opponents backyard, means I'm a 'fanboy'.
Have fun going through life with that logic.
I think AJ was just talking ****e and in a comfortable environment when he said "if it's worth $100 million, give me 50 straight up, I'll sign tomorrow".....obviously he is not willing to sell himself and his brand and his belts for $50 million to fight in the U.S.
He put his foot in it, but Wilder and his team were never going to buy AJ for $50 million lol
Hardly breaking news given it’s all over the media! But still some seem surprised? He’s not all about the money it seems, which you have to respect him for that.
He may well of been... but in reality... he hasn't defended his belt anywhere other than the US.
Either way, it is redundant... the point is.... Wilder doesn't want to come to the UK.... AJ doesn't want to go to the US.... One of them has to concede, or the fight won't happen.... if it doesn't happen... it is both of their fault.... not one.

He was headed to Russia but Povetkin was dirty.

Boxers don't get stripped of their world title because they don't do what you think they should do. AJ wants to fight Wilder in his country but Wilder wants to fight AJ in his country so what's the difference? AJ is the cash cow with most of the title belts and he is very much the A side. Most likely the AJ vs Wilder fight will happen in the UK or it won't happen at all. Aj can make huge money without ever fighting Wilder. If Wilder wants the fight enough he will leave his backyard and fight AJ in the UK.

I'm not a fan of Joshua..... and I think Wilder beats him... and I prefer Wilder..... BUT - Tell me.... when did Deontay take his belt outside of the US?
I personally don't care where the fight happens... as long as it happens.... but you can't use the 'a champion needs to go around the world to defend there belt(s)' if the other guy doesn't do it either.
They both want the fight in their own backyards.... the reality is that one of them needs to just bite the bullet and be the bigger man and concede.... but right now... neither of them are (not just one of them).
