It means Mikey is better H2H. It doesn't mean he is better P4P.
The only reason he would win is his size.
Let's see the Loma haters piss their knickers over this.
It depends on how the fight plays out, the adjustments that are made, if Garcia is able to land that lead right hand as common as I suspect, then it's gonna be difficult to convince anyone that Lomachenko is more skilled.
So Lomachenko beating tiny tiny Rigondeaux give him ATG status but Mikey beating Lomachenko because of his "size" doesn't mean a thing.
Being a fan of a particular fighter doesn't mean you have to lose all self respect.
It Mikey beats loma, he is better p4p because they are able to compete on the same level to an extent.
Following your logic rigo is still top p4p.
If you are able to challenge yourself when out of your natural weight, loss will still count against you, and that's how it should be, otherwise every weight champ is pound for pound number one, lol
Loma fought most of his career at lightweight don't know why people acting like he is a small fighter when he said he couldn't fight Rigondeax at Featherweight and made him move up 2 weight classes
If Mikey was to beat Loma that doesn't hurt Loma it just means he belongs at 130 or Lower and not at 135 :dunno:
I think Linares dropping him somewhats does show that 135 is probably his VERY MAX. However Loma is very Bold and is not afraid to risk so I think he will fight Jose Ramirez at a catchweight for that WBC 140 Strap
I think that is how Arum plans to Map out his career: Beltran is next obviously then Jose Ramirez at a catchweight to make more History. Yes I do think Loma can box CIRCLES around a Massive Jose Ramirez for 12 Rounds who is slow and lacks head movement
Arum is NOT making Mikey Garcia vs Lomachenko not really out of fear but more so out of SPITE!
I'm fully confident in Loma embarrassing Mikey. Not sure why people keep on harping about the size difference in Linares Loma.
Was it noticable? Yes. Did it have an affect on the outcome of the fight? No. Loma kinda looked comfortable all night even when he got put on his ass he wasnyt phased by it. He looked a bit too relaxed although his footwork wasn't as clean as I've seen him in other matches.
Those shots didn't even have a toll on Loma either. In the tenth he still looked fresh and was moving good so can't blame size of lomachenko actually loses to Mikey.
Garcia wins. I had little doubt before this weekend and none now. If they were naturally the same size I'd pick Loma all day long. Full credit for wanting the fight but a guy as big and talented as Garcia is gonna prove to be a bridge too far.
I agree. Mikey is a very good fighter and he is much bigger. Can't see Lomo getting past him.

It's always an interesting debate, but yes I would say Mikey is one natural weight division bigger than Lomachenko, their bone structure definitely suggests that.
Hypothetically if that happened, I think the manner of the victory would be a factor in how it was interpreted.
I do think fans often overlook natural size when assessing fighters in a p4p sense. Also I hate the phrase "weight bully" being thrown around constantly. If you are able to make a weight and rebound strongly under the rules, than there should be no issue with that. If a fighter overdoes it, they are going to be drained and that will hurt their performance, very simple. I hate all the constant crying on here.
You have fighters who fight and stay at one weight, why? Because they can make the weight tight, but still be healthy in the ring, and this means they are strong and domineering at the weight, if they move up, they more than likely lose that edge. That is why I always rate fighters who move through divisions more, because they have to show more wrinkles and versatility as their physical traits become less of a factor.
Then you've got to say that GGG only beat Brook because of his size and that Brook is better P4P.
Not really. Because he hasn't done as much as GGG. It doesn't always work like that.
GGG beat Vanes too something you said he wouldn't do. You should probably take a break from Boxing for a bit. Your not looking at the right things.
No it’d mean that Mikey is better
Both are top P4P talents both are roughly the same age and size
The winner if they fight who ever that is will be the better fighter
