This confirms a contract and that BJS signed meaning he agreed to his purse. So where did all this he wants "lottery money" thing come from?

Just another load of waffle and assumptions again. You really should stop doing that.
Does the thought of Golovkin fighting Saunders really cause you this much concern?
Of course they are assumptions. Hence the IF and THEN statement I clearly made.
Concerned? I don't have to be concerned. I'm not fighting. I'm a fan of boxing. The concern is for Golovkin and Saunders.
Same as if GGG said "I want $15m to fight Saunders" - I'd say the same thing. That type of coin just doesn't exist and GGG priced himself out of the fight. I'm all for fairness.
I even said they should talk. No reason not to talk. If Saunders comes out the gate with a crazy number, then talks can't go any further.
I don't get why you don't understand that. I'm not saying Saunders said that. Because as far as we know, they haven't even started talking yet. I'm saying IF he did (solely based on him asking $7m for a fighter like Jacobs).
Huh? Good grief.
1. He most certainly wasn't getting $7m in that first contract - which is why Sanchez was even surprised he would ask that much for someone like even a Jacobs. By the way, they only agreed financially. And it was a contract offer FROM Warren. Not from Loeffler. So we don't know the ins and outs of what type of wacky things Warren included in that contract.
2. What's changed now? Maybe Saunders wants more money now. That IS a possibility
3. I'm not saying dont' talk to Saunders. It was an "if and then" statement I just made. You glossed over that. I said IF Saunders comes out the gate saying "I won't accept anything less than $7m" then it's his way of pricing himself out
People need to start reading and stop assuming that just because people are fans of GGG, it doesn't mean they will blindly agree with tactics that aren't fair. I'm all for fairness. And I side with boxing. Meaning, I'm a bigger fan of boxing than I am of Gennady. People let their disdain for Gennady get in the way of being reasonable.
For instance: I've seen numerous people still say that even if Saunders is asking for $7m that it should be done since it's Gennady's "dream" to be undisputed. People don't understand how big of a paycut GGG would have to take in order to make that happen. It's like they can't see that just because a boxer has a dream or a goal, they can only attain that goal if it's within THEIR best interest. We as fans don't get to decide what's in their best interest.

You do know that Saunders had already signed his part of the contract not long ago to face Golovkin and was happy with the money side of things? So, what's changed now? Saunders most certainly wasn't getting more than 7 Mill for the fight.
You're assuming Saunders is going to ask for big money before negotiations have even began. Assumption is the mother of all f*ck ups.
When did Saunders price himself out of a fight with Gennady? When has he given a price for the fight? He hasn't, so you're just talking nonsense at this point. It seems you're willing to see Golovkin swerve this fight and looking to place the blame elsewhere before Saunders has even given a price. So the only one not being objective here is you.

That's a huge reach. Saying he'd only ask for such a high number for Jacobs but won't ask for the same high number to face GGG. The fact of the matter is, that type of money isn't even there for a GGG match. So there's no way he would get that facing Jacobs.
If Saunders starts off negotiations saying "I won't fight for any less than what I would ask for to fight Jacobs, which is $7 million" then that's the good ol "let me price myself out, before negotiations even start" tactic.
People will call GGG a duck for not trying to negotiate with Saunders. But won't call Saunders a duck for pricing himself out before they can even start. It's strange.
Boxing fans are harsh and are rarely objective.

I think Saunders wanted big money for Jacobs because he didn't want to take a big risk before he gets the fight with Gennady.
Golovkin's side should go in to negotiations with Saunders and see what is what. If he asks for too much, then I have no problem with Gennady going in another direction. But if doesn't even try to get a fight with Saunders, then it's a straight up duck.

1. Saunders says Gennady would beat both him and Eubanks Jr on the same night. It showed where his confidence was at in 2014
2. In 2016 after his Akavov fight he says
3. In 2017, after there were real talks between Gennady and Canelo, Frank Warren tries to butt in and offers a fight for Gennady to fight Saunders in Kazakhstan.
Now, is he well within his right to change his mind and feel more confident than he was in 2014 and 2016? Of course
If he's gonna demand $6.7million to fight Jacobs, you better believe he will ask for much more against Gennady. And that type of money just doesn't exist. HBO doesn't have the budget for it. Warren's UK connections can't cough it up. PPV numbers can't justify it either. He's probably want $10m to fight Gennady. And Gennady's cut would obviously be more than Saunders' cut. There just isn't a $20m budget out there. It's unrealistic.

Most of us heard the press conference with Saunders and Eubanks Jr. where Saunders said "Golovkin? Golovkin would beat us both on the same night." Is Saunders scared to fight Golovkin? Damn skippy he is.
Yeah, but that was at a time when Saunders was a European champ and not exactly fighting at world level. Everything has changed now that he's had a bit of world level experience and holds a world title.
Saunders wants to fight him now, so the ball is in Golovkin's court. If Golovkin instead takes on a weaker opponent, then it's clearly a duck. No 2 ways about it.
I looked through his last 4/5 fights and he wasn't the main event in any of them. Stop talking crap.
It was on ESPN. I watched them. I could make a status and ask if anybody else knows about Murat's popularity in Japan. You can check it out if you like.
This is the only fight that would allow GGG to have a voluntary fight to avoid losing his IBF title.
That's my understanding of golovkin's "title" predicament atm.
It will be interesting to see which direction he goes .....
Golovkins most famous quotes are "Mexican style" and "all the belts is my dream" He's said that for years countless times. He used it as an excuse not to fight guys at 168. Now they suddenly don't matter anymore? People need to call out bs when they see it instead of dickriding the fighters they like.
"Mahx, tell uh, Canelo, I will suzk he's deek to make big money, uh big drama show, tell him pleeze"
Stop talking nonsense they don't even have PPV in Japan. Murata has never even headlined a card:lol1:
Murata has headlined multiple cards and gets like 15 million viewers for fighting cans. He's huge in Japan.
If Golovkin fights Saunders next, Canelo will have nowhere to go and they'll certainly fight next May for Undisputed. I like this move.
Tom from K2 needs to stop being so thirsty.
If Golovkin fights Saunders in the UK he'll get more money than fighting anyone not named Canelo.
Not more than Murata. If he can get a unification next GGG should probably try for it.
Billy Joe Saunders is a Gypsy warlord. He ain't scared of fighting anybody. I don't dislike Gennady Golovkin, but it's annoying when teams like his try to make out they're avoided by fearless men.
This exactly what I said this morning, it seems people just listen to their favourite boxers teams and then run with anything that they say, why would BJS avoid GGG?

so that means ggg ducked bjs?
3 1/2 years, still a long time ago in boxing terms between a 24/25 year old British champion and a 28 year old world champion.... and no doubt a difference in 32 year old GGG and the current version.
It's a much closer fight now, and Saunders has no fear of GGG, he signed to fight him when he was 15 stone lol
No doubt Saunders can box. He was impressive against Lemieux. I don’t think he can hurt Golovkin though. And if Golovkin catches him you know Saunders would be in trouble. I hope they can make that fight sooner or later.

Saunders is a nobody even in the UK, he's been boxing in leisure centres while champ. We have to accept he'll never fight GGG and this is all bluff. The entire world knew GGG was going to fight Canelo last year so it's all BS claiming he was ready to fight him then.
Saunders is a gypsy, they are con-men and liars by nature.
^^^... you guys... you watched Snatch too many times... :)
Warren is only positioning his fighter for a possible GGG fight in September... Saunders was and is GGG's solution in case he would have missed Canelo (last year) and/or in case he misses him this fall...
